baby sitting services

We are staying at the GF (splurging to celebrate our 10 year anniv.). Would like to have a romantic dinner out with out children. Has anyone ever used the baby sitting services available at Disney? How about the kids club for our older two?

Re: baby sitting services

I am not much help since we haven't used the club yet but we booked the Sandcastle Club for my DS for our summer trip. When I told him about it he was so excited, maybe a little too excited about ditching us. I don't know if I would send him alone but we are going with friends so he won't be alone. Your older kids will have each other so I am sure they will be fine.

Re: baby sitting services

We used the "Fairy God Mothers" this past December. It was expensive, in room babysitting, but since we wouldn't go out until after they were asleep it was ideal. All the GodMothers are bonded & you can call the front desk for info- just make sure you call in advance.

Re: baby sitting services

My DSis & I used the Neverland Club for our kids, 10yo/10yo/8yo/4yo March2004 and they absolutely loved it. 5 hours went by SO quickly for them and for us!! Our DHs took us to Fulton's at DTD...we had such a good time. The NClub issues you a pager in case they need to get in touch w/you, as I'm sure all of the other sitters do the same. We NEVER leave our kids with sitters at home (except GP's) and we had no hesitation about leaving them knowing the fun they'd have and the safety of it all. I'm sure you'll be happy with any of the sitting services at Disney!

Re: baby sitting services

anyone use a babysitting service @ Disney recently? We pondered a babysitter for an evening to visit Pleasure Island which we have never done; not sure if it is worth it. ALthough, an evening without 3 kids might be nice!

I have heard good things about "Fairy Godmothers"- recommended by The Unofficial Guide. I haven't used them personally, though. Some of our best memories of WDW are the special dinners we have had without our little guys!

Re: baby sitting services

I second GoofyFamily's nomination of Neverland Club! It is such an incredible evening for the kids that they HATE to leave! When they arrive, they are "sprinkled" with Tinkerbell's fairy dust and then they climb through Wendy's bedroom window into Neverland, which is filled with games, movies, activities, a mini-sized full buffet, even characters and other surprises! They make a lot of new friends! When you arrive to pick up your child, you will likely find him or her resting on a soft pillow, tucked under a blanket in the viewing room, watching Aladdin or another Disney movie!
You will have the peace of mind you need to relax, because all parents are given a beeper in case your child wants you.
Have a wonderful night out!

Re: baby sitting services

I have used the kid's clubs at both the WL and the AKL. Both were wonderful. My daughter had a great time. They had dinner and arts and crafts. I picked her up just as they were starting their movie. She loves going there even if it's just for an hour to hang out with some kids.

Re: baby sitting services

We used the Sandcaslte Club at Beach Club this past summer and the kids loved it. We had an 11, 7, and 5 year old and they all loved it and asked to go back every evening after that.

Re: baby sitting services

Just wondering if you have to be staying at a particular resort to use its kids club. For example, if I am staying at AKL can we still use the Neverland Club.

Re: baby sitting services

Yes, you can use the kids club at any resort. We were staying at OKW and used The Neverland Club.

We paid $10/hour per child at The Neverland Club.
