Icon5 Wait time experiences during extra hours?

I was wondering about wait times in the parks during the extra magic hours? Im trying to decide to skip the headliners (I have 12, 3, 1 YO kids) and go with the 12 YO at night rather than switch off. I only have experience with e-ride nights? Will Sorin' be available? Or should I get the fast pass?
Thanks!

Re: Wait time experiences during extra hours?

We used the EMH pm during our January vacation (low season), and had a good experience with the lines (usually just walking on) at most of the parks.
The only exception was MK. It was just as a long a wait during EMH as it was during the day (and sometimes even longer!!)

I think a lot depends on the time of year your going. If your there during a busy season expect some wait...even during EMH pm.

Re: Wait time experiences during extra hours?

I don't have a answer but would like to know what to expect on the extra hour morning/evenings days. I have read that MK is extra busy on Mondays and when we will be going MK will be open late that monday (to make the crowds worse). Show I go to the extra hours or is it so crowded that it would be better to wait for regular hour day on Tuesday? I love the option but if it is crazy on those days I'll pass. Help!

Soarin' will be available, but our experience with Epcot EMH were less than magical. Not much open and really, really long lines.

Re: Wait time experiences during extra hours?

Thanks for the info. I can't believe that Epcots Future world closes at 7 (last week of July). I thought I remember them staying open until at least 10 or later. I always tried to hit the Test Track one last time on the way out of the park after the fireworks.

Re: Wait time experiences during extra hours?

We took advantage of the EMH (morning) at MK during Easter week, which you can imagine was very busy week. However, much to our surprise, the lines were a piece of cake. We did all the major rides at MK with less than a five minute wait. EMH is a great perk!!

MY only experience in on E-ride Nights and they are the best. You are either walking on a ride or waiting for a ride to cycle through no more than 2x's Talk about being spoiled!

Wow! That really surprises me....our MK night was really packed!

Overall though, I agree it's a nice benefit.

Re: Wait time experiences during extra hours?

Our MK night was busier than regular hours. After that we didn't use EMH evening hours.

The BEST way to avoid lines is be at rope drops. In January, we did ALL of Fantasyland (including Peter Pan twice), PLUS Haunted Mansion, PLUS Barnstormer in the first 90 minutes of park opening (at 9:00). By 10:30, the lines were beginning to form. We did a few more items and left MK at 11:00 to go do other things. Oh, and this was not an early entry day. Just regular rope drop.

Re: Wait time experiences during extra hours?

Just got back and EMH at Mk at Night was packed. We avoided all EMH except for MK mornings. Part of the problem is that many people are not paying for park hopper options so many people go to that park and stay all day including evening and the crowd just builds and builds.

Re: Wait time experiences during extra hours?

we did EMH at MK and EPCOT..I'd reccommend doing MK but skipping EP if you want too...if you want to do Soarin...get a FP..those loooonnnggg wait times aren't jokes..it's the truth...it was still 70-130 minutes wait time during EMH

Re: Wait time experiences during extra hours?

When I was there in May it seemed at the beginning of the pm EMH's the lines were walk on. But as the other parks closed and people came to the EMH park lines seemed to get very long. Don't forget everyone with Park hoppers will come over to the EMH park when the other ones close.
