My husbands nephew is getting married August 6th. He and his new wife are flying to Florida the following Monday and staying with an uncle there for a few days before going on a 7 day cruise.. I guess the uncle is near wdw, they plan on going to the house of the mouse for a couple days.
But who wants to stay with a relative of their homeymoon??!!
My thought is to get them a room for a night or two at wdw or close.
Obviously the all-stars are most economical wdw resorts for us. I looked it up, please correct me if I'm wrong, but August 11-12 or so, is Regular season for the budget hotels and go for $99./night. I can't find any discounts//Anyone know of any???
Uggh, a little concerned about the cost of that, since we have to travel out of state ourselves for the wedding, the costs are rising!!
Second thought, Off-Disney hotel...since I am only an on premisis patron, I need any and all referals for a decent priced, nice, close etc...hotel off of wdw real estate. Preferably less than what I can get the all-stars for.
Third option, Disney Dollars...only we are not near a Disney store, anyone know how I could get some??
Any thoughts, recommendations are welcomed and helpful!!

Try Mousesavers.com for hotel discounts. They have great deals going on all the time.

As far as the Disney Dollars, why don't you see if you can buy them direct from Disney. Someone else may have more suggestions about DD than I do, we don't have Disney store near either but I never bought them anyway.

Can you team up on the room gift with another family member? Split two ways it's about $100, three ways about $65.

You might consider checking rates at the Swan and Dolphin as well as the DTD hotels. I say Swan and Dolphin because they are the only hotels other than Disney's that are inside the perimeter, and are part of the Disney Transport routes and you'll have a better chance at a discount. If it were me, I'd say the heck with the cost (almost) and book into the least costly room at the Grand Floridian or the Contemporary for two days.
