Anyone able to book the new AP discounts through 12/15?
Mary Waring's reporting that the new "best rate program" is available now on bookings through 12/15. We don't have our new APs yet (ours expired in May and we're waiting until our October trip to activate new ones), so I can't get onto the site to check out the new discounts. Anyone have any luck with booking? How "discounted" are the rates and how slim are the pickin's?

I really don't think that there will be a big rush to book through the new AP program, most people are very upset with it.

I checked for our Thanksgiving trip last night and was offered the rack rate @ POR. So I'm assuming there are no discounts being applied as of yet. I didn't book (I'll let Mickey do it when I get ready anyway).

I'm not very pleased with the new set-up, myself. It's pretty much "driving" me to DVC purchase.
Are travel agents able to book for AP holders? I was under the impression that the AP holder themselves had to book under their own AP code on the back of their ticket. Can travel agents book for those folks who don't have an activated AP yet?

Got the AP discount for PO/FQ's for our upcomming trip. DH made the reservations this morning. I am just so skeptical about this, because of no refunds. And also if you need to change the dates for any reason, there is a $50 change fee. Unless, your willing to go for an upgrade, then they will not charge you the $50. At least that's what a CM told me this morning. Well, she also told me we could not book our room yet on line. But my DH had no problem with booking our room. I think some of those CM's need to go back and read everything a little more carefully. Sometimes you can get several different explanations when Disney makes new changes. Infact, she told me this was a "trial run", just to see how things go.
