Hi all,

I know that POFQ has reopened and the rooms have the new bedding, furnishings, etc. Does anyone know how the refurbishments are going at POR and if any of the buildings there are done? I am still debating going to WDW at all, but will probably stay at one of these 2 resorts if I go. I think I would prefer POR but might opt for POFQ if none of the rooms at POR have been refurburbished yet.

I was at POR in April 2005 and stayed in Acadian House. It had already been refurbished. It wasn't obvious which other Houses were being worked on at that time. We walked the entire complex and saw no other construction or refurbishment.

Thanks, Vvogt. I don't think I have ever stayed in Acadian House. I think I have stayed at Magnolia Terrace twice. Do you know if Acadian House was a non-smoking building? And was it a long walk from everything?

Has anyone else stayed at POR recently in the mansion section and knows what buildings have already been refurbished? Thanks!

Karen, I think they are all done. They were nearly finished, I think, last November.

I had never stayed in Acadian House either until my second last trip. But I was forced into it because Magnolia Terrace was being refurbished. I ended up in Acadian House room 8033 (see, I still remember). The location of that room to everything was great and when I visited again in April 2004, I asked for the same room and got it. What was great about that room, or any along that strip, was that it was close to a bus stop, close to the private pool, and little foot traffic went by the window.
