Gift Baskets delivered to Resort room

We will be staying at the CBR in January. I would like to surprise my kids with a gift basket in the room when we check in. Does anyone know of companies that would provide a Disney gift basket and deliver it to the CBR? Websites would be helpful. Thanks in advance for your help!!

There is an official WDW florist, you can contact them at (407) 827-3505. You can also see what they offer by clicking here.

One other option would be to contact our sponsor, Gifts of a Lifetime. They have some gift baskets in their personal shopper area that can be delivered right to our resort room.

I had the same exact thought yesterday about having gift baskets for my brother's kids that will be meeting us in Orlando Jan 1, 2003. I only live 1 1/2 hours away from Disney - so I don't really have that much of a drive, but I read somewhere this idea that people can send themselves packages to the hotels and write on there for them to hold the package until you arrive. The one I read about at a Disney resort - they used Fed-Ex to send the package to themselves so I suppose that was more timed out. 3 day, of course, would be less expensive than overnight.

I'm, for sure, going to make a least two baskets. Maybe I can take a picture when I get them done (I haven't started yet) and offer some ideas.

I just clicked on "You've Got Mail" Thread, the whole thread is about sending yourself mail. I was late to the punch. Something else to consider is that if you do find something locally (and you live out of state) you can probably "skip" the salestax if you have =them= mail it directly for you to Florida.

We will be at the AKL in less than 2 weeks. I have contacted them and will be sending a package the weekend before we go. They have told me that they will put the items in the room before we arrive. It is a surprise for the others in our party. I had ordered something else to go with it, but something happened and I won't have the whole thing unless it gets to me this week. But I am looking forward to the look on everyones face when we enter our room and they see what is waiting for them.

Noah's Ark...what is in the box? (if you don't mind telling me)

How did you get the cast members to 'assemble' your surprise?

Is it for your son's birthday?

Trish,

The box contains Disney AK Beanies I ordered from the WDW service. I was hoping to have the Guest of Honor Name Tags with each person's name to pin to their beanie, but that didn't work out. I am sending the package to Guest Services with instructions to place in our room before we get there. They did not assemble the items for me. This was just a little something extra to get everyone off to a great week at WDW. Since the GoH name tag thing didn't work out, I bought some pins at the Disney Store when they were $2. Now everyone will have a pin to trade right off the bat!

Hate to say this, but we gave our son his main birthday gift last weekend. We will do something special on his day, Disney Quest most likely.

Cyndy:)

PS: I hope I get everything done before our trip! It is almost here!

Ok, I went to Big Lots - because they are super cheap and they have Disney items.

So far:

Disney's Baby Minnie Easy Squeeze'em.
Yes, it is a baby toy - 3 months + but
She's cute sitting there holding a purple teddy bear. $3.33

Disney's Baby Goofy Easy Squeeze'em
I picked him over Mickey because he's behind a beach ball (I think) and wearing a cap. My nephew is around 9 years old so this is ok..looks older. The Mickey one was holding blocks and you know, that definitely says "baby" $3.33

Now, these are for decoration purposes mainly, and more expensive than I would normally go, but they struck me as very cute and bright.

Next item -
Disney Babies Even Flo disposable nurser. . 99 cents.

I got 4! These are great! The covering over the rubber part is simply black Mickey ears. I'm going to open the package and take out the rubber nurser and get some plain clear bottles and fill them with candy and then just screw on the "Mickey ears" tops! It won't look like a "bottle" when I get done you see - it will look like a Mickey candy container.

My next item -

Disney Babies Evenflo plush chewy rattle & teether. $1.99
Now see, this has Mickey's plush head attached to a teething ring. Underneath his head and at the top of the ring is covered with cloth that has "Baby Mickey" on it. But I'm going to cover that by throwing a shirt on him. I'm thinking I'm going to have his head in the back of the package - or maybe looking like he's sticking his head out of a hole - and then get some hands for each side of the front, so it looks like Mickey is holding onto the package or holding a personalized welcome. I could even be silly and make the long arms coming out of holes on the sides too and reaching all the way around to the front. Lots of possibilities - have to think more on that!

I'll try to wait until it's all done and =then= post what I did and how much it cost. There were =neat= Disney toys there between $6- $12 that could have done great for the main toy - but they were more for younger kids or babies. I want to get something that I'm =sure= they'll like for a main thing.

I might do adult packages for the grown-ups. I'd want those to be practical and humorous though. Have to think about that.

I received my packet from Disney last week in preparation for my trip. Inside is a brochure of flowers and gifts that can be ordered ahead of time and delivered to the room. It is, of course, a Disney florist. There is a couple of flowers only arrangements, a small picnic basket with goodies inside, a keepable lunch bag with mickey lounging on the front and full of goodies, and a couple of others.

I have the brochure at home and will try to remember to bring in tomorrow with the information. You just fill it out and fax it in and it is supposed to be in your room when you arrive or on the date you designate.

I'd like to see it/hear about it Linda! Is that the same at the one Mickey linked to? The yourfairtytale.com ? I didn't finish loading that page (takes a little longer than my attention span for a dial-up connection allows :laugh) so I still would like to hear about it.

and Thanks Trishb - My husband doesn't agree..haha. He said definately not to put the squeez'em in. Ah, maybe he's right. So instead I decided to go Pez. (who is ever too old for Pez, right?) I ordered the Pez Mickey Mouse and Friends set for on their site http://www.pez.com

Edit 11/12/02 : They just came in, if you get the 6 set, they won't be in packages, so not the greatest to give as a gift. Although I know it says, for sure, on the 12 set that they are individually packaged. I wish I would have gotten the 12 set, but I'll wash these and just hand one (already loaded) to each kid in our group when we are at the park..

Edit 11/13/02 : I wouldn't recommend you get any loose pez dispensers at all, because none of them appear in mint condition...the paint on some of them is scratched also. If you do get dispensers, make sure they are individually wrapped.

Hi,

You should try: BASKETSBYLORI.COM . They have great pre-made Disney baskets and they did an awesome job on my custom basket! Plus, I found them to be cheaper than the Disney Florist.
