Re: Water view at POFQ
I had this same choice when I booked that place. I went with standard room. Your choices in regards to water view is just the little waterway or the pool. Not worth extra money in my humble opinion. I wouldonly pay for a water view if I were staying at a resort that you could see the Light pagent over the Seven seas Lagoon near the magic kingdom resorts.

Re: Water view at POFQ
I agree with Dana. When are you going? If your going at a less busy time, ask for a garden view when you check in. The gardens at FQ and Riverside are BEAUTIFUL.
Like Dana said, the water view is either the river or pool. The resort is so small, you will most likely be walking by one or the other each day, anyhow!

Re: Water view at POFQ
I've given my opinion on this in another thread, but you can always count on me to give it again
![]() Waterviews really only matter at the Floridian, IMHO. PO has great gardens, so does the Poly, and the AK's all about the savannah view. Short answer? Lauren's 100% right, the gardens are lovely, save yourself some cash.

Re: Water view at POFQ
Waterviews are not worth the extra money. My DH got us a waterview room at the POFQ and our view was covered by trees. Save yourself the money and just go for the standard room.

Re: Water view at POFQ
I WASTED my money on a waterview at POFQ. At check-in, my friends requested waterview rooms. I didn't want to seem cheap, so I said nothing. I should have kept my family's room at the AP rate of $88... I try not to regret stuff like this, but it still irks me!

Re: Water view at POFQ
Go for a standard. You'll be situated around a lovely little grassy "square" with a fountain and benches, etc. A great place for the kids to play quietly. A room with a pool view would be very noisy - and you can see the Sassagoula River from almost anywhere in the resort. Jenny's right - "rooms with views", just aren't worth it except at the GF or AKL.

Re: Water view at POFQ
We do waterview because it's important to us to be poolside, but I have a feeling we could usually get poolside anyway if we ask nicely.
