Rooming question

Hi, new here and wanted to introduce myself and ask a question. My DH and I have 3 children: DS-6, DS-4 and DD-16months. We went to WDW as a family for the first time in April and everyone had a blast . Probably won't go back for awhile, though. My question is, we want to stay in a moderate next time but they only allow 4 max. to a room? Is there anyway around that or will be stuck getting 2 rooms or having to upgrade to a deluxe?

Thanks,
Angel

Re: Rooming question

Welcome to DC!

POFQ can accomadate 5 people in their rooms and it is a moderate resort. I have not personally stayed there but I know a lot of DCer's have and can give you great advise.

Re: Rooming question

Until your youngest is 3 it is your call. After your youngest turns 3, you would have to look at POFQ or getting two rooms. A lot of people here will recommend two rooms (you can get two rooms in a value resort for about the same as one moderate room). With two rooms, you get two bathrooms and if you put the kids in one room you will have your room all to yourself.

We have 3 kids as well and our youngest will be 17 months this trip and just under 3 on our next trip, so we have a while till we need to make that decision.

Also, welcome to DC.

Re: Rooming question

POR has some rooms with the trundle beds. they may work out the best for you.

Re: Rooming question

Thank you everybody for the info! I really would like to stay at CBR, but I think it's going to be too pricey for 2 rooms. We'll see.

Re: Rooming question

I think you can stay in one room at CBR. The 16 month old counts as an infant, so I do not think your daughter will count to the max of four. Plus you can request a crib for her. Since your children are so young, you have a little more flexibility. Good Luck!

Re: Rooming question

We stay at CBR but it is only 3 of us and a crib might be tight. The only place you could put it up, and still have room to move around, would be right by the exit door or near the vanity.

CBR is about the same price as the other moderates, cheaper if you do not request a preferred/water view room. If you want a little tiny bit bigger room, request a corner room.

It is a great resort for the kids, loads to do between the beaches, pools, playgrounds, water activities, the island and more.

Good luck trying to decide on a resort.

Re: Rooming question

I was told you can have a 5th body in any of the rooms (Value to Dlx) as long as the youngest in under 3 years old and will use the pack-n-play, so one room at CBR (or anywhere really) shouldn't be a problem.

Welcome to DC!!
