Just got back and already planning next trip
We just returned from our first trip and loved it so much we can't wait to go again. We want to go down for Christmas next year or the year after.
My question is this. If we buy an annual pass and book a room with the great discounts they are offering is there a way to add on your meals like with the deluxe package. We had this package on the trip we just had and liked not having to worry about bugeting our money to make it last till the end of our trip. I will admitt that three meals a day was too much food with the amount of food they serve. Any advice that I can get about what to do will be greatly appreciated. PS they say that the first week of Dec is a less crowded time to go is that still true. I know that the crowed are down right now because of the economy, how long do you think this will remain true. With all the stuff that they got planned for Dec I cant see why it would be a lower crowd time Thanks again Brenda:) |

How odd, we just got back too and were talking about a Christmas trip for 2004 as well. :D
Us Disney Freaks all think alike... I have always wanted to go at Christmas. If you don't mind me adding a question on your thread... I know about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas, and the Osborne Lights, does EPCOT, AK, or other places do anything for Christmas? I know of Grinchmas too. I never researched any of these so detailed descriptions could be interesting too.

We usually have our next trip booked before arriving for our current vacation. That's the only way I can get my family to leave Disney property when the time is up. However, with all the great discounts currently being offered (and I hope for at least another year), I am waiting to make reservations until I see if any specials will be offered for next spring.

I have gone to WDW the first week in December for several years...and it is my favorite time to visit! Yes, the crowds are small and the decorations are gorgeous! As a matter of fact, I was there in 1995, 1996, 1997, & 1998 and never had one bit of trouble with crowds. Keep in mind when and where all the guests will be concentrated...like Epcot at night, and MVMCP.

Best Time of the Year To Go
:D
We have always gone between 12/1 and 12/15. Any combination of those days is the best time to go. Usually by the time we are leaving the Xmas crowds are coming in. We have done this for the past 7 years and have always avoided long lines, etc. One thing to remember...it does get very cold this time of year, yes even in Florida.

We are leaving to return to DisneyWorld this Friday. I can't wait! This will be our third Thanksgiving in a row and we have not had any real problems with crowds. We thoroughly enjoy the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights. At Epcot they have the Candlelight Processional which is just as much fun - but in a different way. I would recommend it to anybody. I have heard about a special holiday themed character breakfast at AK but that is the only holiday event I have heard of there. Good luck with your planning for 2003 and 2004. If we learn of any new tips or "tricks" while we're at the World next week we will update you when we return.:) :)
