POR Bldg 14 Question - Good location?

We requested bldg 14, preferred location, non-smoking, first floor. On the reservation confirmation that we received it said WATERVIEW room. Is that the same as preferred? We wanted to be close to the restaurant and food depot so we asked for preferred.

Another question, is it relatively quiet with a waterview room? We had a room at CS near a pond and all night we heard frogs croaking. It was terrible! Definitely wouldnt want to have a waterview at POR if it is going to be the same thing.

Any info on bldg 14 is welcomed!!!

PERFECT!!!!!!!

We love Bldg 14! There is a little path that goes directly to the food court which is also connected to the sit down restaurant, the gift shop and the lobby. The bus stop is thru another little path and the main pool is close too. Everything is close yet it is still quiet because it is off the beaten path. It is the perfect location!

Thanks! Just what I wanted to hear .

I am actually considering extending our weekend one day. Maybe staying until Monday rather then leaving sunday. Such decisions!!

Re: POR Bldg 14 Question - Good location?

Building 14 is a great location. "Waterview" might mean a view of the "bayou" (read: swamp) or it might mean a view of the Sassagoula river (which is lovely). Either way, building 14, although close to the action of the main building, food court, and main pool, is still tucked away in the trees and relatively quiet.

I love the themeing of the Alligator Bayou buildings--especially the decor in the rooms. Nothing like coming back to a cozy log-cabin feel with beds made of "logs" and comfy quilts.

Enjoy!

If you have building 14, then you are set. Even if you are on the back side, you are still in a good shape!
