Booking for PA res trying to use FL res discount
Ok, we have friends who live in PA and have their DFIL who lives in FL. They were hoping to book a short trip using his FL residence for discounts. I told them to contact Mouseketrips to see if it could be done saying it was a wedding gift. They are getting married 8/27 of this year and want to take the kids for a few days to WDW. I mentioned booking 2 rooms at a value vs one room at a mod resort, it will be a total of 5 people.
Anyway, has anyone tried booking a trip through a FL resident but live in another state? I am hoping they can do this since they really don't have much to spend. Thanks, Kim

Re: Booking for PA res trying to use FL res discount
i have never tried it but my aunt and cousins like in Lakeland, Fla and go to wdw about once or twice a month, and in the summer they will stay for a week..apperantly..you have to show your ID at check in and when you are buying tickets(I am not sure if you meant getting tickets under this rate)......so therefore..you're DF's DFIL would probaly have to make the reservation under his CC and go and check them in..i would guess...

Re: Booking for PA res trying to use FL res discount
Disney's official stance is that everone in the party must show a FL id when checking in in order to get the discount. The resorts have the power to raise the rate if that is not met. I am not sure if this would actually happen, but it might not be worth the risk. There would need to be at least one person with a FL id at check in at the minimum.

Re: Booking for PA res trying to use FL res discount
Mickey's right, but I have almost never been asked for ID when I check in. I would,to be on the safe side ,though, have the father-in-law book for them and check them in.

Thanks, will pass the info on to them.
Mickey, I know this is last minute but I suggested they contact you. You did such a fantastic job with our trip and they could use your expertise.
