Military Discounts
I wasn't really sure where to post this but anyway I have a couple of questions about military discounts. Are these discounts just for active and retired or can veterans receive these discounts?? Also is this limited time or continous discounts??
I have a big military family which contains some active duty and some veterans so I was checking for them all!!:angel

My understanding is that it is for active duty only, though there have been some in the past that included veterans. One nice thing is that each active military member can reserve up to three rooms, so you may be able to cover the whole family that way.
The current offer is limited, and ends on February 12, 2003. They have offers like this every once and a while, but usually in off season: http://www.disneycentral.com/forum/s...&threadid=1681

The military discounts are for active, retired, DOD personnel, reservist and I'm pretty sure Medal of Honor winners. To get these discounts you must show a Govt ID. A military member can get up to I think 7 passes if I not wrong. You need to go to Shades of Green web page and check the requirements out. A veteran does not qualify for the passes, but if the party who buys the tickets areone of the above anyone can use the passes. So say that 3 members of the party are active or retired then between the three of them they could get I think up to 21 passes. To get them you will need to go to the contemporary on the 3rd floor of the north wing at the MWR room and get them there. That only if you get them for more than 4 people. They may have change that by now but that was what you needed to do last year. The best is to get them at your home base through MWR. Check at Shades of Green web page you may be able to order them that way too.

Here's the Shades of Green website URL: http://www.armymwr.com/shades/index.html It's a pretty informative site, and although you can sometimes be on hold for awhile the operators are very good with questions. :)
