Discount Code Withdrawal

Over the years, every trip we've set up, we have always been able to utilize the discount codes. Now my hubby gave me the go ahead to a "long weekend" in November and I can't find any type of discounts! Does anyone have any info on any discounts, or any other way on getting the costs down?

Contact Mickey, the admin here. He's an Earmarked travel agent. If there's any discount to be found, he'll be able to get it for you.

Re: Discount Code Withdrawal

For November, nothing at all. There are the AAA discounts on room only reservations, of course. FL resident rates on room only as well. Nothing on packages, but I am still holding my breath that we will see something like the free dining for November/December.

Re: Discount Code Withdrawal

I have to book my room only through the BRP in a few days, any chance of the regular call in AP rates coming out for the end of nov, beginning of dec. Before then.

I think that in the future, AAA discounts will be the way to go for me.

Re: Discount Code Withdrawal

Mickey, what are the chances of seeing any kind of discount for the week after Christmas? I'm figuring slim to none.

Kind of an off topic, but still topic question. Does WDW ever offer discount packages with AAA?

Week between Christmas and New Years? None. Zero. Zilch. Never has happened, and I doubt it will. Grab a room now (everything is almost gone) and be happy about it. Having said that, the best rate program had a glitch a while back, rooms were about half price over Christmas. Not sure if it is fixed or not. I just checked, and you can get room up until Christmas Day, but after that, there is nothing.

AAA sells packages with the AAA discount (you get the discount on the room only portion, everything else is the same). However, they rarely have rooms available, since they are very limited with the packages.

mickaholic4077, aren't you a FL resident? Why not use those?

Re: Discount Code Withdrawal

Another kind of off the subject question - How much does it cost annually to belong to AAA? Is it worth it just to get the discounts??

Luckily I do have the room booked for that week already. when I tried to enter my dates into the BRP site it just says there is nothing available and to change my dates. I wish I would have caught it when it had the glitch.

Actually,I will continue to check both FL resident rates and AAA rates, but AAA has discounts all the time(except for holiday week,of course),whereas Disney doesn't release res rates all that often.

I'm not sure of the price, but Unofficial Guide says the AAA discount is not worth a membership if that's the only reason you're getting it.

AAA is worth the price if you're like me and lock the keys in the car every year or so...

We dropped out of AAA a few years ago but I think it was about $65/year for both my DH and myself. Each year I would say I didn't want to renew my membership when called and they would drop that amount down to a single membership fee. I think it's worth it if you travel a lot, I liked the maps and travel guides we got for each trip.
