all star movies?

Hi guys,
I have friends who have booked to stay at All star Movies for 2 weeks in april06 and I hvae never stayed here, nor visited it. Can anyone recommend a good building close to everything but not too noisy etc ? They have a 5 year old and they will be taking the grandparents along too.
Any tips that I could pass on would be great thanks

A closer building that wouldn't be as loud as the actual closest would be the Dalmations building. I wished I stayed in that building when I was there. We were way out in mighty ducks...tell her to avoid that building if she can. The best part of the Dalmations is you are close to the check-in food court and close to both pools....oh and the photo opportunities there are amazing!
Tell her to also avoid the ground floor. The higher floors would be better for midday naps...no loud people running by your windows heading to one of the pools.

I agree-Dalmations would be good. We were in the Herbie-Love Bug building and it was on the backside of the property. Not too bad but still a little walk. My kids loved it there and we did too. We had 2 rooms which helped a lot. It really is a fun resort because it really captures the Disney spirit!

My fav is Toy Story, 2nd or 3rd floor.

That is also a good choice. Close, but not to close to the noise. Cute buildng too.

We stayed at the Fantasia building number 5, second floor, and loved it. We were not at the room much so I really can not tell you about the noise level during the day. We had no problems at night. These are the perferred rooms and the nice thing was it was really close to the food court and the busses.

Like na4bj, we stayed in the Fantasia building 5, second floor. It was an EXCELLENT location, and I would say worth every penny of the extra $10/night. It was just a hop and a skip to the buses, food court, front desk, main pool, and much more. We never found it to be too noisy. No matter what time of day, the room seemed amazingly soundproof!

If they don't want to pay the extra $10/night, I would go with any of the Dalmatians or Toy Story buildings.

The Love Bug and Mighty Ducks sections are quieter than the rest, but (A) that's not saying much

and (B) they are extremely long walks.

We went in apr 05 and stayed in the toy story building 2nd floor... i dont remember which number that was but it was on woodys side.. we didnt have to walk to far for anything.. i LOVE that resort.. i will be staying at the pop in feb and a little nervous that it wont be as good as movies... when we stayed at movies we really didnt use the busses to much becuase long lines but everything there was wonderful...
