Hi all! I will be staying at the pop on Feb 10-18 and a little worried that I may not like it.. I have stayed at the movies b 4 and i am stressing that I rather be there instead of pop.. can anyone give me some details of the pop that would help me with my fealings... Thanks in advance..
I am wondering if it is almost the same.. ect......Do they have a pool side bar like movies??? Rooms same??? Bus service same??? ect ect... thanks all

The two hotels are basically the same. I think PC is better for a number of reasons:

1. It's newer/in better shape
2. It doesn't share it's bus with other resorts--more room on the buses.
3. Most of your youth groups book into the AS resorts. So PC is a little quieter.

IT was but my DH and DD's wanted to try something new.. I on the other hand dont like change.. We have stayed at the crb b4 and liked it.. Then we wanted to stay in the world longer so i figure that we would stay at the value so we can get the best value on our vacation.. i have no problem staying at the value resorts.. i figure xtra $$ to spend as we want.. i usually take a cooler if we drive but now that we are flying i will pack a suitcase with just snacks and water.. i also pack the crystal light packetts to turn the water bottles into lemonade or icetea.. we dont need a icebox if we take the cooler but now that we fly i will keep the sink stashed with ice overnight and refill in the am when we wake up.. sorry to get off subject...lol... but i think after talking to disney a few moments ago i will enjoy pc... at least i hope.. our oun bus cant beat that..

I've never stayed at a value, but - I really WANT to try PC. I think it looks like alot of fun.

My husband is like you - he doesn't like change. If it works, don't change it, LOL!

I hope you decide to try it, though - I bet you'll like it.

Thats right.. If it works dont change it.. But i guess they are allowed to give input where they want to stay this time.. Oh definatly i will try it cause we already booked confirmed and pd for it.. lol.lol.lol But no one cares where we eat and what we do first so i guess i can choose all that ...

my family loves PC .. it is true about the buses :) but you know like where you eat ..everyone has their favorites. We have stayed at PC 3 or 4 times and of the values it is our choice. I hope you enjoy it too. It's very *fun* .. some think it is too far away from everything but we always get a room in the 90's .. and as high up as we can.

We ended up liking the All Stars better than PC as far as service.The food court management was disappointing. Dispite the good food, the court was always a mess and the drink stands didn't work half the time. Major room for improvement at the cafe and check in. But.. the pools were fun, the kids had a blast, there is an outside bar by the hippy dippy pool. I thought it was easier getting to and from the car and main building than all stars. Rooms were the same to me as far as layout and cleanliness. We were in the 70's building in the far corner of the property. It was nice by the lake, very quiet. Watch out for the workers on those golf carts and you'll have a great time there no matter what. It will probably be less busy so service should be better. I wish I could be there right now.

Thank you tinkerbell This might be my 100 post.. my goal is 1000 by tonight ... no im only playing lol but i have a million questions and who to ask but you guys the experts.. i ask a question here and everyone knows the answer.. ask disney and they have to put u on hold and look in a book:)

ohhh I know what you mean.. we have been in the parks and asked questions and gotten 4 or 5 different answers from CM's .. the one thing about DC ..you get answers :) and opinions!!! everyone's is different .. so experience makes you an expert !!!!

True True very True.... I called disney last year and inquired about the dining plan..the cm on the phone told me that I can get it.. well at that time i only had a room only So i wanted to talk to my dh about the meal plan so when I called back 10 minutes later to pay for it they told me I cant get it... so ya see what I mean.. depends on who u get on the phone.. I also called last week about AAA discount and they said that they can adjust my resveration for feb which is whole package... So i had to run out to my car grab my card and call back .. when i did the cm on the line told me cant do it and was very rude.. now If i had my internet last week i would of just jumped on line and came here to ask... lol... we all should be working for disney... my dream job.. I want to be the one on the phone booking vacations..

I think more then 99% of us on DC want to work at WDW *grin*
I hope you like Pop Century though as much as I do. I have come to find out you can have a bad experience at even the best resorts and the best experiences at the value resorts. It just all depends. We use to never want to stay any where but the CBR ..but after one bad time and one very very bad time .. we have lost our love for staying there, we give them 2 chances ..and they just didnt make it. Then there is POR .. we stayed there years ago and didnt have a good stay ..but then last year stayed there and had a fantastic time (inspite of hurricane charlie) that we want to go back again.

I used to love the CBR until a bad time as well.. I think that we are just there to sleep.. We are never at the resort during the day.. never any naps.. nothing.. just sleep.. we leave at 9 am and return when park closes.. we dont need anything fancy.. i rather take the xtra $200 per night and go buy goodies or whatever at the moment.. or even put that towards my next trip that i can go on sooner cause we saved the xtra$$
