Recent travels using Magic Express to Resorts

Has anyone recently flew into Orlando airport and used the Magic Express? How long did it take from landing to get to your resort??? I'm mostly interested in time to All Star Movies. . . if anyone can help.

All reports that I have read since they got all the kinks worked out are reporting that it takes an average of one and a half hours to get to your resort after landing. Your luggage can take up to 8 hours though, so please pack park attire in your carry on so you guys are comfy.

hmmm...8 hours...that could be tough. Has anyone gone and picked up their luggage instead to save on the wait for luggage? Wondering what the average wait is for luggage? 3-4 hours is doable but longer is iffy!

We took DME to Wilderness Lodge and we were there about 75 minutes after landing. We had our luggage in less than 2 hours. I think you will fine letting ME handle your bags, just pack your normal carry on.

I am going off the latest report with the eight hour time frame for luggage. I am sure that is a worse case scenerio.

Does the ME stop at the higher priced resorts first?

No, it doesn't. The buses go to resorts in the same area but the resort class doesn't matter as far as I have heard. We were on the bus with a lady who was on her way to the GF and we were dropped off before she was.

If you are going to an All Star my guess is your bus will go to all 3 All Stars in a random order.

I will try to let you know. I will be taking ME tomorrow from MCO to Caribbean Beach. Normally, I only do carry ons, but I am going to try checking the luggage and let ME do it for me tomorrow.

There was a thread a long way back that posted a link to the ME bus schedule. I think there are 3 or 4 resorts per bus, if I am not mistaken. I will search for the link.

Just got back from disney last week friday. We used DME and we are our resort in less than a hour. Will be using it again next year if we decide to fly

Last week, we were checked in and in our room about 6 PM. We hit Epcot, and were back by about 9:30. Our luggage was in the room. Not sure when it arrived, but it was within 5 hours of our flight landing.
