Caribbean Beach Resort - change of plans

We were suppose to be going to WDW this friday. Due to a slip n' fall accident, I broke my wrist severely and we decided it would be best to reschedule the trip for later into the month of October. The only weekend we could get a moderate room for was October 21st. We love POR but were okay with having to change resorts. It has been over 10 yrs since we stayed at CBR. Which leads me to you guys....we like to stay in the buildings close to the main food court area and bus depots. Any building recommendations? We only requested a non-smoking thus far.

According to the map, the one that is closest is trinidad north and Jamaica. I haven't stayed there before I am just going by the map in the unofficial guide. I am sorry to hear about your trip delay and your broken wrist. I ma glad that you are still getting to go though.

We really liked staying in Jamaica, the food court was a short walk over a pretty bridge. I hope your wrist is feeling better.

jamaica is probably one of the best. When we stayed there we stayed in Barbados but it was too far away. I am sorry to hear about your wrist. Pixie dust your way for a quick heal!

Here is another recommendation for Jamaicca. We stayed there in 2003 and are staying there again in 16 DAYS!!!! We love CBR!!!

I called and requested building 45 - Jamaica. They said it was a short walk to the main bldg. Also asked for 1st floor. The thought of carrying luggage and dealing with a 3 yr old up stairs with a broken wrist made me cringe.

I'm glad you still get to go to WDW though...I hope you guys enjoy CBR. I think it's a beautiful resort! Good idea on the first floor room!

We stayed at CBR in May. The closest building to the main bldg. are bldgs. 25 and 26 in Martinique. Depending which part of the building you're in, you can see Old Port Royale and the pool and courtyard from the outside walkway. It's literally about 2 minutes to the main bldg. You're also very close via a short path to the main bus stop (again called Old Port Royale). It was great. Let them know if you have trouble walking distances and request one of those two bldgs.

I agree with Jamacia!!!! this is a wonderful walk at night to the food court and back ..so pretty with the lights on the water.

I am considering doing the best rate at CB instead of PC. Looks like it will be $300.00 more. I like PC but I'm worried about it being crowded?

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, hoping you are healing well.

Martinique and Trinidad North are the closest to OPR, but tend to be noisier. We stayed in TN this year and we loved it. Just a short walk to OPR. Last year we stayed in Jamaica and loved it there too. We were in Building 41, bus stop right across the parking lot and pool right around the corner. OPR was just a short walk over the bridge. You definately do not want to stay in Barbados or TS, they are the farthest to OPR and Barbados can be very noisy from the buses.

we stay in aruba, it is just as close as jamaica. we stay in building 51, which is right at the start of parrot key? anyway it is right at the bridge.
