Well, I finally did it.

I booked our vacation to Disney this morning. We will arrive at Universal Studios on Nov 2, for 3 nights and then it is on to Disney for 5 days and 5 nights. We are calling it our "Thank Goodness Hurricane Season is Over" celebration (We live in SW AL).

We are staying at POR in Alligator Bayou. We are all excited. Well, the 3 1/2 year old is not too excited. I think he is wary of the life sized characters, LOL. We might have to skip the character meals.

I can't wait. Dh and I went in 1992 for our honeymoon but we stayed offsite, which I could just kick myself for. We could afford to stay onsite but we were being cheap. The last time I went and stayed at a resort, there were only two choices--Contemporary or Polynesian Resort.

Oh, I just can't wait. Now I have to scan the boards for the best restaurants and start making reservations. I did read the thread on Goofy's Candy Shop in DTD. We will just have to take the boat ride from POR and visit that. Can you tell I am excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's wonderful, you are going to have a great time. I can't wait to hear about all of you Disney plans. When I don't have a trip to plan I have to live through other people.

Oh, I hope you have a great time!!! (and that the hurricanes avoid you -- since the season is not actually over until November 30!)

Sounds like fun!! It'll be so good to go back after that many years!

We are still debating a possible 2 night saty at Universal before our next trip also.

Do it! Front of the line for resort guests is so awesome. We absolutely loved Universal.

Kathleen, thats fantastic. You will love it there at POR in the Bayou section.

We are not staying onsite at Universal. We are staying at the Quality Inn Plaza. We did decide to go with a lesser hotel for the Universal trip.

Oh you are going to have so much fun. Your little one will be so much fun to watch! I love to see my boys react to the characters and the parades. It's one of the best parts of the trip.
