I called and requested to be put in section 16 in the building that houses rooms 1501-1836 for the express reason that buildings in 16 are closest to the walking path to DTD and also that building is very close to a bus stop. Also, it's close to the private pool and hot tub and I figured it might be nice to sit in the hot tub and look at DTD all lit up at night.

Also I didn't want to be near any constrcution...

Was this wise? Was I correct in my presumptions?

I'm interested in this, too, as I'm trying to figure out a good request for SS in two weeks.

I stayed in that exact building last December, and it was darn near perfect. I can't remember our exact room number, but I know we had a fabulous view of Downtown Disney, were close to a bus stop, had the pool right in front of our room, and were well away from any construction.

The only downside is that we were a looonnnnggg way from the lobby. restaurant, and boat dock - probably a 10 minute walk. Since we never ate at the restaurant, never needed to visit the lobby after check-in, and had a car it wasn't a big deal, but something to keep in mind.
