Contemporary? How early to book?

I've never stayed at one of the monorail resorts but I am assuming the good rooms; like a MK view, main building, in the Contemporary would go fairly fast. Especially during a busy time like summer? Is this true? I usually don't book a disney vacation until about 3 months before we go but that's because I was always resort flexible. So, if we want to stay at the above this summer is it too early to book now or is it better to wait to see if they offer a good deal in spring?

Tell me about the Contemporary! How are the rooms? Is the main building MK view worth it? Is there still a boat that goes right to Fort Wilderness? All I've ever been to in Contemp was California Grill and Chef Mickey's, that's all I know about it.

Oh, and is there a spa or somewhere to get a massage without having to go to the Grand Floridian or AKL?

Lets see, I'm going in Nov. and booked in Jan. I was going to upgrade in Aug. and they were booked. They do have all the remods going on so it is hard to judge by me. The rooms are big and the new updates are very nice. View at night of MK is WOW and to wake up and see the castle.... well what can you say. I don't think there is a spa there. I love the Contemporary. It is so fast to get to the parks and the monorail in the building is great.

Re: Contemporary? How early to book?

Contemporary tower does fill up quickly, especially now that they have rooms closed for rehab. I usually try to book as soon as I have a good idea I am going.

The tower rooms will be wonderful when you go. They are rehabing them right now, and from what I have seen, I really want to stay there. You can see some images here:

Oh my gosh, those rooms look awesome! I think we are going to decide on the dates this week and book it for summer! I'm so excited, it's nice to try a resort you've never stayed at before. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long to go!!
