All Star Music
I had read a lot of information before we left and there were a couple of things I wanted to let people know now that we're back!
1. The accomodations were great, the only bad thing is that the All Star stop is always the farthest one away at the parks, so it's a lot more walking at the end of the day. 2. You DO get soaps and shampoos. There are NOT hairdryers, but there are irons and ironing boards. Some of the mousekeepers are really creative about displaying toys and characters in the windows..pretty cute. 3. If you end up in one of the end buildings...it's a LONG way. 4. Add extra time to your transportation, there are often more stops than you will know about. 5. The food court is great! Portions are big and cost really isn't that bad. Get the refillable mug...it's a money saver! We had a great trip and for the money would stay in AS Music again. Just wanted to pass on these tidbits!

Re: All Star Music
Glad you enjoyed your stay. I stayed there a few years ago and loved it excpet for my room location which was really far away. They did away with the dispenser soaps, but they used to have them. The soaps and travel sized mickey toiletries just came back to those resort. Thanks for the added tips about that resort. I am certain that it will be helpful for someone looking to stay there.

Re: All Star Music
I've stayted at the ASMusic several times and always enjoyed it! Which building were you in? We were always sure to request the Calypso building because I love being close to the pool, the laundry, and the lobby for those late night trips to the arcade! I am so glad you enjoyed it! Let's see some PICTURES

Re: All Star Music
We were in the Country Fair building (5). The theme was great as my DH's parents who are from TX were with us, but still a really long walk...especially with a 2 year old!
I deleted my pictures on my digital camera! Luckily, my husband found a great website and downloaded a program that recovered most of them. I haven't gotten everything straight yet. I'll try to put some in my trip report!

Re: All Star Music
Personally i think the All Star resorts are the best ones. They give off the most Disney-themed areas (well to me anyway). Enlarged football hats, giant dalmations and musical instruments and then there's models of the characters scattered all over the place.
I love Movies the best especially the Fantasia building and pool.

Re: All Star Music
Thanks for the info. My partner and I are thinking about staying there on our next trip I read on another site that ASMu is the first place that the busses for All Stars pick up and drop off. Is this still true? If so, that at least means that we'd always get a seat going to the parks. Also did you notice if most of the busses that stopped there had lifts for wheelchairs and ECV's? I'll be renting one for the trip. Thanks again

Re: All Star Music
Yes, most of the buses had lifts or they were "kneeling". I don't remember if we were always first or not, but nothing was really crowded last week.
The rooms were a good size. We had 2 double beds (there are king size beds available, but I think they are the accessible rooms). There was a table with 2 chairs and the tv on a dresser and of course a nightstand. As far as luggage, we had 2 LARGE duffle bags, a rolling backpack and another backpack. Even after all our shopping, we still had plenty of space to move around, and that's with the clutter of a 2 year old. I felt that they were average size rooms, like a La Quinta or comparable.

Re: All Star Music
We stayed at AS Resorts from 99-02 and 03, 05 for a softball tournament trip, we loved the food court, and it does give off more of a "Disney" feel, we joined the DVC and have been at OKW in 03 and 04 and there are advantages of being there, less people on the bus, we had a 2 bedroom villa with a kitchen, etc, but we still missed AS Resorts, this year we are at SSR, which should be nice being its a 10 minute walk or so from DTD.
I really do miss AS tho.

Re: All Star Music
I don't know about anything else near it but you should be able to share portions with many meals at Disney. We did this at times and it really saved us money.
