Birthday Surprises at WDW

Has anyone ever had any special Birthday Surprises when checking into a WDW resort?

I called and made a reservation today for a weekend in January. I told the castmember that we were coming down to celebrate my sister's birthday. She stopped me and said that she needed to add some birthday notes to our reservation and she typed for what seemed like forever. Se was very nice.

Any ideas?

When DD had her birthday breakfast at CP, Pooh and friends gave her a signed b-day card. There was also special mickey confetti and streamers at our table. For our aniversary the gave us a great comp room upgrade, from standard to King with a water view.

I used the Disney Florist to arrange a delivery in our room upon check-in. It was a REALLY nice suprise and the basket was beautiful!! I would strongly recommend them if you want to include a special occassion suprise!
There website is www.DisneyFlorist.com

Re: Birthday Surprises at WDW

We always do a character dinner on my kids birthdays. They always bring out a cake with Mickey on it and the kids love it. Sometimes, one or more of the characters will be standing right by us when it is time for the servers to sing. It is always alot of fun. Make sure you tell them when you make the reservation that it is a birthday.
I sure everyone probably already knows this, but you can go to City Hall in MK and get a birthday button too.

Re: Birthday Surprises at WDW

For our twins 11th birthday, we had lunch at Crystal Palace and they made a big to-do for the boys. Confetti, cup cakes, birthday cards signed by Pooh and friends and every where we went, CMs gave us tickets to the front of the lines. It was amazing. they made the boys feel special indeed.

Is that for free? If so how do you get it sent?

Re: Birthday Surprises at WDW

Yes, it's free. just did it for my DD's 4th. tell them when you check in what day & who your sister's b-day is & when you return from the parks that day, you'll have balloons & a card & picture. My dd's favorite is Snow White, we get a pic autographed by her & all the dwarfs!!

Re: Birthday Surprises at WDW

My Mom turns 76 when we are down there in December. I wonder if they would do anything for her or do they just do stuff for kids?

They do stuff for everybody! :)
I went last year on my birthday.. I'm 19 and far past the cute little kid stage, but I got fastpasses to my favorite rides, and every CM who saw my button said happy birthday. Some of them sang.

Also, one of the CM's should ask you if you've talked to Goofy yet... they'll call him up and Goofy will give you a big happy birthday. :)

Re: Birthday Surprises at WDW

We are going in December. My MIL's birthday will be right before we go, but I want to celebrate it while we are down there. Will it matter? Do we have to show something or can you tell them you are celebrating a birthday?
