POP or ASMovies??

I need help deciding between staying at Pop Century or ASmovies. I thought it was already decided that we would stay @ ASM, but my 8 year old son says he wants to stay somewhere different this time. We stayed @ ASM in the toy story building last Sept & really enjoyed it. I'm trying to convince him that maybe we should just switch buildings, not resorts. From what I have read, people in general, seem to like ASM better. I have to say that I really like how close we were to the main bus stop, store, & pool during our last visit.
Any comments would be appreciated, or maybe arguments to try & convince me to agree with my son, or the other way around & tell me how to convince him!

Re: POP or ASMovies??

We haven't stayed at ASMo but we have stayed at POP and we love it! We always found everything close and handy. Nothing was more than a 5 minute walk ( we were in the 80's building).
Give Pop ago I think you will like it!

Re: POP or ASMovies??

We stayed at POP last year and loved it. Its newer and I think it is designed better (everything seems closer). The bus only goes to POP, not 2 other resorts. It is just as cute as ASMu, if not more IMO. Where ever you stay, it will be WDW so you can't go wrong.

Re: POP or ASMovies??

Personally, after reading the mixed reviews on Pop, I think I'd prefer to stay at ASM. I love the theme there too. But, being me, I would give my DD the chance to pick the resort and stay at pop to amuse her.

Re: POP or ASMovies??

We stayed at POP and had a wonderful time. They have their own buses. I would change this time and check it out.

Go to PC!!! It isn't more than a 5 minute walk from most buildings to the food court.

We have stayed at both but the last 2 times we have gone to WDW we have stayed at POP and really liked it there. I would definately recommend giving it a try.

Re: POP or ASMovies??

I think All Stars Movies feels more "Disney" than any other value. I love the themeing and I especially love the fact the food court and gift shop are separate. The walk is MUCH shorter at ASMo than the buildings that we've stayed in at Pop.

I just like ASMo better.

Re: POP or ASMovies??

Exactly what BDavis said is why I'm unsure. I've heard that POP is almost too big compared to ASM. I know that POP has their own buses, but from what I've read, for some reason, people seem to have long waits for buses. Is this true, or some people just impatient? We never waited more than 5 minutes at ASM!

Re: POP or ASMovies??

nancy, we just got back from ASMo last night and never waited more than 3 minutes for a bus, and typically our buses never stopped at the other resorts, just went straight to Movies. i don't know if that is normally the case, but that is what we experieced over the last few days.
