OK, should I be nervous about this?

I recently changed my WDW reservation from staying at the Contemporary to staying at the Wilderness Lodge Concierge. When I made the switch the operator at the reservation center was amazing & magical as usual. She even saved me $200 on my total trip package AND we were able to get a ticket upgrade because of her insightfulness. Although, she DID explain to me that because I had already paid off a significant amount on the Contemporary reservation they had to do a money transfer request with Guest Services to cancel the old reservation & transfer the funds to the new one. I was a little nervous because I had nearly paid half already via personal check. She undestand and told me to call back today to confirm that everything transfered.

OK, SO...
I call today and told the operator the situation. She asked for my name and phone number and found the reservation. She said "Animal Kingdom Lodge, you're paid in full and all set to go." I was like "umm, no, this is suppose to be for Wilderness Lodge and I was inquiring about a transfer that was suppse to go through from my old res." She said "we don't do transfers, let me go ask." I was on hold for nearly 10 minutes completely nervous about it when she returned to tell me "I was looking at the itinerary you just completed."

OK, so I was kinda nervous that she spent the whole time NOT realizing she was looking at an itinerary that was ALREADY past and completed. THEN, she said "OK, I found it, write down this confirmation number... and she started reading it to me." I knew it sounded farmiliar and when I glanced at my old paperwork I realized she was reading my CONTEMPORARY res. that was suppose to be CANCELLED!!! At this point I knew in my head I should be asking for a new operator but I really am too sissy to do that and I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I said "Ma'am, that is the old reservation that is suppose to be cancelled and I should have a NEW one for the Wilderness Lodge with $xxxx applied to it." After what seemed to be loooooong pause, and some sort of attempt to create idle chit chat she said "ohhh, why would you change from the Contmporary to stay at a moderate?" I nearly peed my pants. SERIOUSLY!! At this point I have NO IDEA why I didn't have the guts to ask for someone new but I just didn't want to sound mean. Before I could even stutter she said "Here it is... Wilderness Lodge, August 19th-26th, 2006, you have a Concierge reservation with the Magic You Way Package Plus dining....." YES!!! She said, I see they applied a credit of $xxxx and your confirmation number is ......"

OK, so after that conversation I am like really nervous about all this. Should I call back and talk to another operator to make sure everything is squared away? Who in the world asks a guest why they would leave a resort to stay a moderate, and the WL isn't even a MODERATE? I wrote down the operator's name but I would never complain, I am just kinda nervous and shocked now. What would you do?

I think the bttom line is...it cost more, on average, to stay at a Deluxe Resort or the monorail then a Deluxe that is not. So it's ok ...the WL is a very nice Deluxe Resort.....just take the boat to the Contemporary and catch the monorail there.

A lot of CM on the phone are in Texas, no where near WDW. She may have never been.

I WOULD call back and talk to someone different just to confirm.

I am not nervous about the WL itself, I LOVE it there. I am just more concerned about the confusion that the operator seemed to have about the reservation. I don't want there to be any screwups.

What I would do is double check your reservation on the Disney World site. You will see for yourself if it is entered right then.

I think you are OK...maybe it was someone new on the job. HOWEVER, for you own sweet peace of mind, I would call back and re-confirm....hopefully you will get someone else. Better to make sure everything is in order; after all, it IS your vacation! HB and I love the WL!! Can't wait to go back! Hopefully we will be able to kidnap the beavers and bring them home.....

I can totally relate. I get into a tizzy when things are wrong with my reservation too. Everybody does. It's all good. The wilderness lodge is labeled a deluxe resort. It's at the lower price range, but it's a deluxe. I would call back and confirm everything with another CM...I do this randomly just to be sure. Mistakes are made everyday and I'd prefer to catch them before I get all the way down there...no biggie..you are paying for the trip, so call back as much as you want to.

Oh I would definitely call back and make sure this is all taken care of. That's too much money to leave it that way.

Here, here! Please call back. You don't have to call to complain, but call and tell tell the agent that the last one you spoke with wasn't so sure what was going on, and you just want some reassurance. It is your money Wish, no need to feel like you are putting someone out by having them take a look.
