DD's surprise trip Friday
Well, DD and I leave Friday morning at 7 for her "surprise" WDW Xmas weekend!
We had originally planned on Amtraking to Chicago for a wkd on Michigan Ave., but discovered we can fly to Orlando, stay 2 nites at PC and have more fun in WARM weather for less money (w/SW airlines cheap fares.) We were just there for 12 days last May (at POR and Poly), but this short trip I think can do a world of good. (We did the whole WDW Christmas Week thing (10 days) a few years ago...) I held out on surprising DD as long as I could. But she figured it out - with a goof from me. A friend wants a Cinderella waffle maker for Xmas and she wondered where we could find one - I said at the World of Disney. Oops. It took her about 5 seconds to figure out what I had done. Anyway- she's happy as can be. Good thing - she had a rough fall semester what with the death of a friend in an auto accident, and she missed some playing time on her college soccer team with injuries. But not to fret...we're going to Dizzy Wirl! We arrive around 11 Friday a.m., take ME to PC, drop off bags and then go to DTD for some shoping. We have reservations at Raglan Road pub that nite. Saturday we'll spend in Epcot. Sunday, our flight leaves around 6 p.m., so we have a good chunk of the day...we are thinking about MGM. Not sure yet, though. Any thoughts? ;)

wow, thats such a great surprise! And after what sounds like a rough fall so far, this will be just what you need. I don't really have any advice to offer, but that sounds like a great trip! Looking forward to a tiny TR

That is a lovely suprise!
We will be at the world from about 9pm on friday, after our long flight all we will do is drop into bed! Have a great trip!
