Tish,
We own there and have been there once. First, when you check-in, ask to be a 'Flag Family.' If available (and it almost never seems to be!), they'll let you go out on the roof and help raise/lower the flags in the morning. The view is supposed to be incredible. We made several requests and didn't get any. I'd start with your smoking preference. I wanted something in the North part of the villas (closer to the Lodge, busses, coffee...:)). Whatever you request, be sure to prioritize and give your reasons for the request. Good luck! Bruce

We are staying there for the first time also, in May. We requested non smoking, 4th floor. We wanted a view, but when I called they said every room had a view. Either a woods view or pool.
I was told the 5th floor is "seperated" from the other floors, so you cannot see the atrium, but the view is great. Just the info I know about it. Would like to hear more if anyone else has any input.

We stayed there in Nov in a 2 bedroom suite on the 5th floor. Views are excellant everywhere (but 1st floor I would think). The fifth floor is not open to the atrium but its really no big deal - in fact we didn't notice for several days! The rooms are great, service is wonderful, you'll have a wonderful stay.
Take some time to see both lobbies - the villa's have their own little sitting/game room that is really cute. Use both pools - the big one for action (not a far walk at all) and the villa's for relaxation (love that mountain music!!). If you get refillable mugs take them with you to the parks (we had a diaper bag so it was no problem) to refill on the way back through the big lodge to your room each night. That way you won't need to walk back to the main lodge. We went grocery shopping off site (wouldn't recommend the store, can't remember the name anyway - not a "real" grocery) and took our coach even though we didn't take the kids. That way we could roll the groceries back to our room. Its a long walk and soda, milk, and juice can get heavy quick! I did see some people use the bell hop to cart their groceries back but you'll need to tip! We loved this place and would go again in a heart beat!!!

Reccomendations
Tish,
We own at WL Villas also(staying there in Feb.!!!!). It is primarily personal preference. If you want a secluded "woodsy" feel then the first floor is your best bet. However..if you want a view of some of the rest of the resort, then you will want to get as high as possible. Also, the ground floor has a small patio as opposed to a small terrace on the upper floors. If you want or need room to spread out with your party this may be something else to consider. Hope this helps...Enjoy your trip!!!:)
