Port Orleans Riverside - Magnolia Terrace Bldg

Has anyone stayed there recently? I've been reading some wonderful reviews of the Mansion rooms at POR that report the rooms looking newly refurbished and very clean. I'm just wondering if Magnolia Terrace is one of them. That's the building I requested and would like details. Also anyone who has stayed there that could recommend a specific room would be helpful.

That would be fun. How long are you going to be there? We'll fly in the evening of Jan. 30th and leave the evening of Feb 3rd. It's just a short "Disney Fix" trip. We've been 3 other times since Oct. 2001 so it is hard to justify a long stay this time. I'm really looking forward to it as I've never been in Jan and think it will be refreshing to be in the parks without all the heat. Even in Sept it was around 95 every day! It looks like we could get some chilly lows but I don't mind. Aren't you staying at BWI this time. I really need to make plans to tour there... I've seen lots of photos but we still haven't made it to the Boardwalk (shock!)

The pool looks especially fun! We won't be doing any resort hopping this trip. My DH already told me we're going to go commando on our 4 days in the parks! Too bad I can't fit in that stroller with my DD! :laugh

We stayed at the Acadian House in November which is right next door to Magnolia Bend. It was very nice, very clean and very quiet. We had requested Magnolia but didn't get it. Acadian house is a little farther from the food court but not enough to make it an uncomfortable walk. Magnolia is a bit closer to the bus stop but again not that much of a difference to be unhappy about. Unless you get a room on the river, the walk to the food court is just as long in MB as any of the other buildings!

Isn't it funny how when your small you just want out of the stroller to run around and when your older you would give anything to be pushed around in a stroller?? I know that is off topic but sometimes I find myself wanting to flop in the stroller!!

Have a great time dab and trishb it is not too far away now!!!

The rooms at Riverside look beautiful and I would love to stay there some time so definetly give us details!!

Was at POR 12/23-1/3 BEST RESORT we ever stayed at (prior 08/02 Coronado Springs, 12/96 AS Sports) Everything is kept up and well manicured. I believe better than some of the Luxury Hotels.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in connecting rooms in Magnolia Terrace from 11/30/02-12/5/02 and everything was very well kept and beautiful! Housekeeping even left us a few surprises a few times! I can't remember the exact room numbers we stayed in but everything was very, very nice and we were right near a bus stop. It was our first time staying at PORR and it is now on of our favorite resorts (we previously stayed at Carribbean Beach, Port Orleans French Quarter (when it was just Port Orleans), All Star Music and the Contemporary.) You will have a great time!

Hey ya'll help me out... LDV is my DH. I don't think it is too much to ask to push a 32 yr old mom & daughter around in a stroller at WDW do you?? LOL :laugh

We are thinking about Riverside for our next trip. How well is it suited for a 7 year old and a 1 year old?

Went to POR with a 4 6 and 9 year old. They all loved it. Pools are always close by, they had a "smores making thing" on the island, things to do in the main lobby, a play area, boats bicycles etc.
