During our last trip going from and to the airport (in our luxurious Tiffany Town car), we caught a view of the upcoming Pop Century resort from the highway. I don't recall which way we came in so I couldn't say for sure where it's located.

We saw the tops of the 80's and 90's buildings. Both buildings were painted in various bright colors. The 80's building had giant Rubik's cubes for the stairwells and the 90's building had huge cell phones. Also, around the tops of each building they had various sayings and buzz words from that decade. (can't think of any right now but depending on which decade you remember most you could probably fuigure a few out).

Now keep in mind I love the huge icons and "theming" of the All-Star resorts, and I love the "theming" of the mega casinos in Vegas, but I just can't help but think that Pop Century is just a bit too much. I think it's all the buzzwords around the top. Although I'll wait until I actually stay at one before I pass judgment.

I agree the words at the top kinda push the effect too far. I think they should have left those off, but I'd still love to see a Giant Rubic's Cube... now if I only knew why?:nervous

Do you think they will have music from that decade playing in each section?? I love 80's music! Don't know why just do, but that would be cool, and what about if the CM's wore the popular clothing of that time frame??? Can you see a CM with the whole 80's punk look or Madonna look?? :laugh :laugh That would crack me up!! Of course I would probably grow weary of it after about a day :whistle:

I know what you mean, I'm a child of the 80's, so 80's would definitely be my choice for a room. Or maybe the 40's (I like Big Band music as well)

50's - poodle skirts / leather jackets ala Fonzi
60's - hippie attire (no brainer there)
70's - bell bottoms, afros...
80's - parachute pants, leather w/ zippers, big hair...
90's - see 70's???? Disney will save on uniforms that way. :laugh
