We Won A Trip To WDW!!! Need Some Expert Advice!
 Our daughter won an all expense paid trip to WDW and we are absolutely thrilled! WDW is putting us up at the Boardwalk Inn and we need some expert advice on this resort as well as some of your favorite "do not miss" attractions. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

That's HUGE good news!! Oh, and welcome to Disney Central!! We'll be staying at the BW for our first time in May. When is the trip planned for? Knowing the time of year will help with advice on crowds. If you hang out here and read some of the old posts that would help you greatly. Also, ask any questions you have. Everyone here loves helping out with Disney trips.

BW is in a great spot. You can walk (10 minutes) to the back entrance to Epcot which is awesome. MGM-DS is a short boat ride away or a 1/2 mile walk (there is a path along the canal).
At night there is always something goofy going on the boardwalk itself (juggling, stunts, etc.). The pool area is really nicely themed. This is one nice resort!!!!

Congratulations!!!! A must to see is Country Bears, Splash Mountain, Beauty and the Beast, Haunted Mansion, Mickeys Philharmagic, and make sure to make dining reservations ahead of the trip. Also use fast passes. Make your plans where you want to go ahead of them so you don't miss out on things you would like to see. You can always change your schedule a little. I would buy the Birnbaum's lastest addition of Walt Disney World the official guide. It is a great help.

Congrats! We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn for the first time in December and LOVED it! It's a beautiful resort with a prime location in WDW.
Everyone has their own "not-to-miss" attractions at WDW. I'd suggest getting a guidebook (the Passporter and/or the Unofficial Guide to WDW) and looking through to see which attractions and restaurants you might like. These books also have "touring plans," meaning, schedules to be sure you're making the most of your days at WDW. Also, keep reading posts on websites like disneycentral.com--these are the best places to stay up to date on the ever-changing policies at WDW. My favorite attractions are: Soarin' and all of the World Showcase at Epcot; Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, the Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom; Rock n Roller Coaster at Disney-MGM Studios; and Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and the Maharaja Jungle Trek at Animal Kingdom. My favorite restaurants are: Le Cellier at Epcot, Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Resort, Tusker House and Animal Kingdom, Mama Melrose at Disney-MGM, and 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort. Congrats! I have stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, and it was FABULOUS! You are at one of the best resorts on WDW property, and you are within walking distance from Epcot. Let me know if you have any questions at all!

She won it on Radio KOL (a kids division of AOL). They were broadcasting live from WDW and gave the 5 day trip to the 25th caller. It includes airfare, resort stay at the Boardwalk Inn, 5-day Park Hopper passes and 500 Disney Dollars. It still seems like a dream and we are very anxious!

We are very excited about Expedition Everest My daughter is 12 and is thrilled there is a new coaster But I wonder if she will be scared? Please if you have ridden it tell me about it.

oh WOW!!! Congrats to your family!!! My very best advice besides asking questions here, is to get the Unofficial Guide the Walt Disney World and read it through. You will get some excellent time saving tips in there.
