Question about the trundle beds at Riverside.

What building numbers have the trundle beds? I found out because of the wonderful people on this board that they are in the Alligator Bayou, but which buildings. Are they all in one building or divided up into several buildings. I am driving, so I hope they are close to the parking lot.:)

I may have misunderstood the CM from Disney but when I was booking my room I think she said that all Alligator Bayou rooms have the Trundle beds.

They are stashed under one of the beds. Actually the one closest to the door. But remember they are for very short people. We took the boys there when they were 11years old and 1/4 of their legs did not fit and hung over. Granted, the boys are very tall for their age, but still, it's a tiny bed

They are free if you only have 4 people in your room. They will charge you to have more than 4 to a room. I think it's 15.00 per night per extra person.

Re: Question about the trundle beds at Riverside.

Here is the fact sheet for POR Port Orleans - Riverside Fact Sheet

If you want a trundle make sure your request is on your reservation. It sounds like not all the rooms in AB have a trundle.

We have three children and two adults in our room. I don't think they charge an extra person for a third child in the room if the room can sleep five. We've never been charged extra.

hmmmmm, I was under the impression that they do charge. I am glad to hear they're not taxin' us poor folk even more

from allearsnet.com
"Port Orleans Riverside Resort is considered a "Moderate" resort hotel, and its prices are in the mid-price range of the hotels at Disney. There are Value Season, Regular Season, Summer Season, Peak Season and Holiday Season rates. Rates begin at $145 a night. These are regular rate prices and do not include the Florida Sales Tax nor the county resort tax. Rates are based on double occupancy. Standard rooms have a maximum four-person occupancy per room. No charge for children under 17 years old when in the same room as the adults. If you have more than two adults in the room, there will be a $15 per night charge for each extra adult. Maximum of four per room, plus a child under 3 in a crib."

Re: Question about the trundle beds at Riverside.

My 5'4" 12-year-old slept on the trundle in AB in March, and he didn't seem to mind the cramped quarters. Of course the alternative was to share a bed with one of his sisters, so he was glad to take the bed with no complaints! The sheets didn't stay on the bed too well, though.

Same here, the sheet didn't stay on and it was kinda dusty sleeping so close to the floor, but it sure beat sleeping with his twin brother who snores
