Welcome to DisneyCentral! We stayed in Tahiti in December, and it couldn't have been better. While it is a ways from the main building, it is worth it. It is located right next to the Ticket and Transportation Center, so you can just walk over there to get on either of the monorails. It is fairly isolated, so it isn't noisy, and the rooms are little larger than the other rooms at the Poly.
Sometime this summer they will be moving the concierge rooms over to the Tahiti longhouse while they rehab Hawaii. I think it is scheduled to start in June.

If you can afford the extra cash then Hawaii (Concierge) can't be beat. If you can answer a few questions I may be able to help more. Do you want a lagoon or garden view? Will you be spending most of your time at the Magic Kingdom or is Epcot on the top of your list? I ask because some longhouses are closer to the Great Ceremonial House where the monorail connection is located and others are closer to the Transportation and Ticket Center walkway where you can hop on the monorail to Epcot or Magic Kingdom. Also, do you want to be close to the main pool?

thanks for the replies! We spend an equal amount of time at both the MK and EPCOT!! We are thinking about a garden view. From what I've been reading, the are using Tahiti for the concierge bldg. in the summer! When I called to make the res., they said they didn't have lagoon views, only concierge lagoon rooms. I wasn't sure if this was due to the refurb. of Hawaii, or because I got an incredible deal for being an airline employee!!!Anyway, whatever info. you have, would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Considering Tahiti is going to be used for the temp. Hawaii concierge I would go for Tokelau. It is located between Hawaii & Tahiti. Good location... about equal distance to both the Great Ceremonial House and walkway to TTC and is closer to the volcano pool than Tahiti. It is a very large longhouse and right next to the quiet pool. The building is entirely nonsmoking and all floors have balconys.
