transportation between resorts

How can I get from the WIlderness lodge to the Contemporary? Is there a boat that makes a stop at the contemporary from WL?

I would imagine you would have to take a bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then hop on the Resort Monorail.

Tish,

According to Mouseplanet, there is a boat that goes to the Contemporary. When I was there in June, I do remember that the boat dock had 2 loading areas, but I never remember a boat docking at the non-MK loading area.

To be sure, I'd ask at your resort when you check-in.

When you find out, post here... I'm going to need to do the same thing! :D

Isn't it just a short walk to the Contemporary from MK? Why not take the boat to MK & then walk over? I love to walk as much as I can...that way I at least "feel" like I'm burning off some of that food I'm eating:!: :!:

The answer is yes.

There is a boat from Wilderness lodge to both the MK and the Contemporary Resort. There will be two routes one will be called the Green Flag and the other Blue Flag. The boats fly them on deck. Blue to the Resorts and Green to the MK.

There is a big sign posted at each landing directing you to the correct routes if they change. The resort launch (blue) will pick up at Wilderness lodge then hops over to pick up Fort Wilderness folks and then goes to the Contemporary to complete the triangle. Either route will get you to a monorail system though the Contemporary may take a little more time as you must pass the pool areas and move through the Grand Canyon Concourse web of escalators. I love going that way best.

ilvminnie,

That walk is not as short as you think but the trip is pleasant. It depends on your mood, feet, and weather.

Is it longer than the walk from the Boardwalk to MGM? I love that walk.:)

Yes there is a launch from WL to the Contemporary Resort. It is a pleasent trip also. You can also catch a boat to the area where the Hoop Dee Doo review is if your planning on doing that dinner. I highly recommend it!:)
