which travel agent

For our next trip to WDW next January, wondering if AAA or Mouseketrips would be a better travel agent. I have heard nothing but good about either so I am looking to hear from folks. Thanks again.

Re: which travel agent

Well I am in the process of booking right now for our December trip. I got quotes from WDW directly, AAA and a few online agencies. AAA was a bit lower however I am going with Mouseketrips. I liked that I got replies to my emails quickly from Keith, answers to my questions and that I read a lot of good things about them here on these boards. Also if there are discounts that come out during the year they will automatically adjust my ressie for me. With AAA I don't think that happens, I think you have be on the look out for the discounts and then call them and ask them to change it.

I guess for me I was willing to pay a little more for what I feel is going to be more personal service.

Happy trip planning!
Allyson :)

I have used Mouseketrips several times and been very happy. Keith and his team do a great job.

Re: which travel agent

We have done it four different ways (ourselves, AAA, travel agent, Mouseketrips). And for us it depends upon how much time we have to devote to trip planning. In an ideal world I think we would do it ourselves because we *love* all the nitpicky details (yes, obsessive compulsive would be a good way to describe us). We have also been to Disney many, many times so we know pretty much where we want to stay, etc. But since we don't Mouseketrips has been great -- we just don't have to worry! I also think Mouseketrips would be great for a first timer because they know everything about Disney and can help choose from many, many options.

Happy Saturday!

Mouseketrips would be your best bet!
They will look out for discounts for you, so you can relax and plan your trip.

Re: which travel agent

Mouseketrips for me! Keith (aka "Mickey") is great...he's always been so friendly and responsive...even when I change my mind multiple times! I definitely know enough of the ins & outs to do it myself, but it is so nice not to have to wait on hold for hours with Disney on the days discounts are released....I know they've got it covered for me!

(Now just as long as he doesn't get me and the "new" Allyson confused... )

Re: which travel agent

I have used mousketrips twice and am renting points from the owner this time so a total of three times if you want to be technical. They do an excellent job.

I like to book trips myself, but I once used Mouseketrips to get the Contemporary when I couldn't get it myself. They did a great job!

Mouseketrips is my vote. They are top notch and there is so little work involved on your behalf.
And they are our wonderful sponsors here.

Re: which travel agent

Batgirl laid out our experience on this, but I thought I would mention one more thing.

It also can depend to heavily on the quality of the agents you get at your local AAA (or online). For example, we had an awesome agent in Boston who organized our honeymoon, but in checking out the Wisconsin AAA offices, we were not impressed. I think that AAA can vary quite a bit state-to-state--don't know about NY AAA, though.

I've only ever booked myself for Disneyland not WDW...but were I ever booking a WDW trip Mouseketrips is the place I'd go. I really want to work for that king of agency one day.

Re: which travel agent

I have used an agent of AAA out of Western New York and she was great. I called constantly and she helped every time. She also had been to WDW many times. I liked to be able to actually go to the office and call on the phone. Im sure Mousketrips is great, but I like having the office nearby.

Re: which travel agent

I have never used AAA so I can not comment on that but I have used Mousekatrips and also booked it myself. I think I perfer to do it myself. It has nothing to do with Mousekatrips, no major problems there. I just think I want that control myself again.
