Best resort for kids
We will be taking our 7 1/2 and almost 4 year old girls to DW. We have been before... Poly 86, Dolphin 93, Coronado 98. I realize all the resorts are great for kids, but what do all of you feel the best kids ones are?
Thanks, Michelle |

I think the best resort for kids is either Fort Wilderness or Port Orleans Riverside. Both have alot of thing for the kids as well as the grownups. The kids will love to fight over the Murphy Bed at FW cabins. Our grandchilren love POR with Ol'e Man Island playground and pool and the animals that they fed each morning and night.

My vote is for the Polynesian! We stayed there in Sept. 2002 and fell in love with the resort! My DD was amost 4. The pool has been redone since your 1986 visit. The volcano slide is really cool and the zero entry is a nice tough. Each day the lifeguards do something fun like get in and swim with the kids, throw prizes in the water for the kids to catch etc... The beach is wonderful and I love the swings and hammocks! The view of Cinderella's castle can't be beat and is the best spot in all of WDW to view the fireworks. You can watch the nightly water pageant from the beach too. They also have the marina with mouse boats and free daily activities for ages 4 and up at the Great Ceremonial House. If you want to pay a little extra they have the Neverland Club which is a drop off camp for kids. Oh, and I cannot forget to add the food.... Ohana's is wonderful and a must do for dinner (also has a great character b-fast) and Kona Cafe is wonderful for b-fast or a quick sit down meal. Capt. Hook's snack shack has counterservice for grab and go meals too. But most importantly I think is that it is on the monorail and with kids that is always a huge plus!!! It is my top pick among the monorail resorts!

Fort Wilderness.....
If they ever get River country up running again, There would be no close second.

The Polynesian gets a big thumbs up. It's terrific for kids. The volcano pool is terrific with a great slide. Also, because the pool is zero entry, you put chair at the edge, and watch little ones. It also has plenty of other activities to keep them occupied when you are not at the park. And don't forget that transportation to the other parks from the Polynesian is fast and convenient. If it's a rainy day too, you can just ride the monorail to the Contemporary and Grand Floridan to check out their activities too.:)
