HELP - Buena Vista Palace??
Hi all -
I've been to WDW in 2003 and 2004 with DH and 3 kids and both times stayed at the Grand Floridian. I'm going NEXT weekend and meeting my friend, just the 2 of us for a Mom's weekend!! It will be great - but... it was a last minute plan, we have great flights, but could not find anything within "reason" on Disney property at a moderate or deluxe resort. (we wanted to stay at $175 or below per night - we are splitting the cost of the room) SO - we are staying at the Buena Vista Palace - and we will have a car, because we have a friend in Orlando we will be stopping in to see. I've heard transportation can be a pain without a car to the parks. We won't do all things, probably Epcot for a nice dinner out and La Nouba or something. Has anyone been at the Buena Vista Palace recently, and what was your experience?? Thank you!

Sorry I've never stayed there but if you're going to stay offsite I strongly recommend renting a car. There are hotel shuttles that will drop you off and pick you up but I would like to dictate things at my own pace.

I have stayed at the Palace within the last year. It is in Downtown Disney. Across the street from DTD heading towards Saratoga Springs. After the Hilton it would be second choice for non-Disney owned hotels
