Re: Which Resort

February might be a good time to find a discount for a standard room at AKL maybe? Would that be a possibility for you? If not, I would always suggest Coronado Springs, or POFQ

Re: Which Resort

Try putting in your estimated dates and see the package price they give you on wdw.com. They will give you several resort comparisons. That's how I always decide, $ wise.

Re: Which Resort

Another alternative is renting points from a Disney Vacation Club member. I did that last time and it worked very well. I was able to get a studio at Beach Club Villas for about $150 a night. Next time I'm doing the same thing at Wilderness Lodge Villas. You can stay under your budget if you are okay with the studios, and you save alot if you stay during the weekdays.

Ditto.
We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas, renting points for around 165.00 a night.
It's a great alternative, and you get to stay in a delux room!

We've rented points from a fantastic DVC member for two stays and have booked a third for October 2006. It's a great alternative which allows you to stay in the best resorts for moderate prices.

Also, if you're not comfortable with the "trust issues" that renting can bring up, you might want to look into purchasing an annual pass. Though not guaranteed, Disney often releases Annual Passholder Discounts when they anticipate not being able to fill their hotels (usually slow times at the parks, of which early February is one). I've currently got a water/pool view room at AKL booked for $189 including tax with an AP discount in May.
