I've made reservations for POR for next fall and have asked to be placed in the Magnolia section. My wife has serious allergy problems with cigarette smoke and we absolutely need to be in a non-smoking building. I have spoken with 3 different reps at CRO and have been told 3 different things. One said that Acadian had smoking on the top floors but that Parterre Place was an entirely smoke free building. Another agent said that Acadian and Magnolia Terrace were entirely smoke free. The third agent said that she didn't know but would note non-smoking on the reservation form. It will be hard on her if the floor we are on has a smoking section or if the floor below us is smoking. Does anyone know which Magnolia buildings are entirely smoke free and how can I go about making sure that we are placed there? Thanks for any advice.

As far as I understand it, Oak Manor is a smoking building and Magnolia Terrace is a non-smoking building. Make sure you submit a request, and then remind them at check in, that your wife has alergies, and must have a non-smoking room only.

We just got back and stayed in the Acadian bldg. We requested nonsmoking and Magnolia Terrace. I called early in the afternoon to tell them we were checking in late and asked if I could get my room assignment and told them my requests. The CM said no problem we'll put you in Magnolia Terrace top floor. When we arrived at ck in, we were told that no rooms were available in Magnolia Terrace :( but that they had nonsmoking on the 3rd floor of Acadian so that is what we got. We were very happy with our room and the building was very quiet. Magnolia is a little closer to the main building and food court but not much. There was a lovely quiet pool at the rear of the building too. I definately would request the 3rd floor even if other floors are nonsmoking. We were in the center of the building which was more convenient to the elevator and parking.
