YOU CAN MAKE THEM NOW IF YOU WANT.
WE ARE STAYING OFFSITE THIS TIME BUT WHEN I WAS THERE IN 2000, I CALLED IN JANUARY FOR MY OCTOBER RESERVATION. THEN ONE WEEK BEFORE I FAXED A LETTER TO THE CM RESONSIBLE FOR ROOM ASSIGNMENT AND MADE MY SPECIAL REQUEST. WE STAYED AT ALLSTAR MOVIES AND WANTED TO STAY ON THE 3RD FLOOR NEXT TO BUZZ. SURE ENOUGH THATS WHERE WE WERE!

I AM ALSO GOING THE END OF OF OCTOBER ...RIGHT IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN AND THE EPOCTS FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL. WHAT A GREAT TIME TO GO!

I stayed at Poly a few years ago and in the middle of a snow storm made my reservations for June, six months later. It turned a bitter cold winter day into something fun, not to mention I could at least think warm. Why not make your reservations now? This way, your trip virtually becomes a reality. You've made the reservation, you're going! And as you are having fun at the Poly, think back to me on this posting, because while you're at Disney having fun...I'll be working! :)

I'd say book your reservation with a Disney CRO or a travel agent specializing in WDW (not the WDW Travel Co.) as soon as you know your dates. You can always make changes or apply discounts as they become available as long as you have a room reserved. Check out Mouseketrips if you are not sure about what deal is best!!! I stayed at the Poly in a garden view concierge room in Sept and it was spectacular!!!! The bad part is that it spoiled me so!!! Have fun planning and let me know if you have any Poly questions.

We're going in Oct. and also staying at the POLY I booked my room two months ago. they only require one nights deposit and it's refundable up till 5 days prior to check-in. Look into getting Annual Passes, they give you up to 40 % OFF your room.
GOOD LUCK! :D

I would make my ressies now!! When I called to get my airline employee discount, they told me only WDW Travel could book it. I called back 3 times and when they tried to do it through the CRO computer it wouldn't take it and they had to book it through WDWT. I used CRO the last 2 years, and loved the booking procedures!! Has this happened to anyone else? I guess if this is the only way I can get 50% off the room, I will have to take it!! Thanks for any input you may have!!

Yes, they changed the procedure some this year. If you book through a travel agent, I believe they can still book through CRO for the airline employee rates, but if you book it yourself, you must go through WDW Travel.
