Re: moderate resort suggestions.
We loved the POFQ. It is small and the atmosphere is very peaceful. You can take a boat to DTD (just like POR). If you like a larger resort, then POR would be nice. We have only stayed at the POFQ though. The POFQ does not have a sit down restaurant though. We really liked the resort and had a wonderful stay there.

Oh! Just the two of you!!???
Take advantage of the romance and beauty of Coronado Springs! It's a big resort - but, it's just the two of you, so those walks around the Lago Drago (?) will be SO romantic and sweet!!! You won't regret such a beautiful setting!

Re: moderate resort suggestions.
CSR is a large resort that does not share services with other resorts and offers some deluxe amenities because it is a convention resort.
CSR has a salon, spa, and a gym that other moderates do not offer. CSR has full menu room service and offers an internal shuttle system provided by golf carts to assist in getting to and from the main building to the villages. It is also the only mod to offer suites. CSR is situated around a 15 acre lake and CBR is situated around a 45 acre lake. CSR has terrific transportation. It does not share with any other resort (like POR / POFQ) and it only has 4 bus stops within the resort (vs 7 at CBR). And since CSR is centrally located, you'll have a quick ride to all the parks. And being a convention resort, the buses seem less crowded because guests are busy with their conventions. CSR is the most central to the 3 parks you mentioned. See the map below. http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/3743/csrmap0kn.jpg http://tinypic.com/eim9ut.jpg http://tinypic.com/ehybeg.jpg http://tinypic.com/ea5ytc.jpg http://tinypic.com/ea5z7l.jpg http://tinypic.com/fod6wm.jpg http://tinypic.com/fod75f.jpg http://tinypic.com/fod8n4.jpg CSR has the best pool of the mods. It offers a great slide (123 ft long), an arcade, a sand volleyball court, and a playground at the main pool area. http://tinypic.com/eaqyk9.jpg http://i1.tinypic.com/o54511.jpg Review from mousesavers.com!! Coronado Springs is my Best Value choice in the Moderate category. It has several advantages compared with the other Moderate resorts. It is newer, so there has been less wear-and-tear on everything. Also, Coronado Springs is a convention hotel, so it has a few extra amenities not offered at the other Moderates, including a salon, a health club and a more upscale food court. The theming is radically different in the three areas of Coronado Springs. You can request a specific area when booking but there is no guarantee you'll get your request.

Re: moderate resort suggestions.
I am going to agree with Erin, Buzz, and PrincessJill on this one...
CORONADO!!! It felt so close to everything, never waited long for buses EVER, the lake at night is very beautiful and romantic, the pool has the COOLEST aztec temple replica, the pepper market has ALOT of variety to offer and AWESOME burritos, and I personally just love it there. I will say though, it is a HUGE resort and I've ALWAYS been happiest staying in Casitas buildings 1 ,2,& 3. I feel like they were closest to the food area, lobby and arcade. Ranchitos are FAR away from everything. If you want a close section don't forget to "request" it on your reservation ![]()

Re: moderate resort suggestions.
POFQ hands down. The moderate resort with a luxury feel.
I don't like the "convention atmosphere" of Coronado Springs.

Re: moderate resort suggestions.
We've stayed at both CSR and POFQ, and I agree with llama -- the convention atmosphere at CSR is not appealing, and it is quite big. Also, the Maya Grill has a gourmet ambience but a disappointing menu, imho. POFQ is very romantic. We miss Bonfamille's (the sit-down restaurant that used to be there -- terrific breakfasts!), but it's still the most romantic (along with POR) of the moderates, at least to us.
These are small differences, however. Wherever you stay, you'll have a great time! ![]()
