In all of my trips to WDW, I have never done laundry there before. Since we're going to be there for 8 nights this time, and we now have a 5th member of the family, I don't think I can possibly pack enough for all of us (& if I can, we won't be able to carry it). So, I'm thinking it will be a necessity to do laundry on this trip. I was curious about how easy it is to do laundry at the resorts. How much does it cost per load? Do I need to have lots of quarters? How large are the machines (so that I can try to guess how many loads I'll need to do)? Thanks!

I believe Disney Teacher may have some experience with this.

One thing I do recall hearing is the dryers can run pretty hot.

My Laundry concern is finding things that wick moisture away vs cotton Tees that collect and hold all moisture. I hate heavy wet clothes.

Sorry! i only did laundry once at CBR. I remember the facilities being by the pool area and I think it cost about a dollar to do each load. the dryers I believe were priced by the half hour. I do not remember if there was a change machine there or not....boy am I helpful

Washing or drying costs $2 per load, and detergent for one load runs $1.00. After midnight, the laundry facility doors require a valid resort ID/room key card for entry."

We do laundry at WDW frequently. The facilities are right next to the pools so it makes it easy to pop a load in while the kids swim and you soak up the sun. It is $2 per load, average size machines. They do have I think a bigger machine to put more clothes in but I don't know how much that one costs. Bring your own detergent/fabric softener because it is expensive there.

I did laundry in POFQ, its right by the hot tub so I put the clothes in and then went to relax for a bit! I'm pretty sure it was $2 to wash and $1 to dry. The washers were like home washers but the dryers were like the ones in a laundrymat.

I'll add that the laundry areas at WDW are unremarkable, but nicer than your average Laundrymat

We did laundry once at ASMo's. Took forever to dry, we ended up hanging the items in the room so we could go back to the parks as it was taking way to long to dry! We must have had a really bad dryer!
