all star resorts
Has anyone booked any of the allstar resorts(which are only suppose to accommidate 4 people) and had 5 in the room? We have 5 in our family 2 adults, 16yr old, 7 yr old, 4 yr old. We would like to stay at Disney but the expense to go to the resorts which accommidate 5 people are to much money. Do they take head counts lol.
Thanks for the feedback;)

We're planning a trip for June this year and decided to get 2 connecting rooms. Our kids will be 3, 5, and 11 and we couldn't stomach the idea of disney all day and disney movies all night all night. :dazed Plus it's a vacation for us too.
We did fit 5 into the Carribean Beach resort two years ago - but the youngest wasn't one and he stayed in a portable crib. It was tight but we weren't in the room long enough to fill claustrophobic! ![]() |

I am not sure about the head count, but I agree that it would be a tight squeeze. Those rooms are very small. The beds are only Double beds. I was there with only 2 children before and even though you dont spend alot of time in your room, I think you would want to be comfortable when you are there. Lights out means... lights out for everyone in one of those rooms.
But I hear you on your bugdet issue I also have 3 children and this year we are treating my mom to her first time at WDW.(6 total) So we made the sacrifice and decided to stay off site. We decided on the HI family Suites. 2 bedroom suites. I am paying 99.00 a night in November. We decided on the extra days there then paying for a Home Away from Home Style suite. Good Luck!! ![]()

We stayed at the A/S Music in December two double beds are not enough for five ppl. Go for two connecting rooms! Request the third floor, much less noise! Our room was $49 per night.
GOOD LUCK! :D

We did it and it worked for us!!! It was me, hubby, and my mom and dad, and our 3 year old son. We brought a collapsable cot and set it up right next to our bed. We only had housekeeping come in one time over our trip, mainly because we had SO much stuff in there, that cleaning wasn't really necessary. It was a tight squeeze, but I would do it again in a heart beat!!! We hardly spend any time in our room, other than sleeping. It wouldn't work if planned on hanging out there during the day. It would be too crowded.

But in June you wont get 49.00 a night.....Its part of peak season at best it woud be 109.00 a night. Unless you have a discount club thats not expired or are an annual passholder I agree, the 2 connecting rooms could work for you...all the children in one room and your wife and you in the other. I also agree with the 3rd floor. Go for the Buzz building(AS MOVIES) if possible. Close to pool and food but just far enough away for quiet at night!;)

Definitely not enough room. I know that staying on Disney property is more fun but you really check into some other resorts. Downtown Disney resorts offer some great deals and you are still on Disney property.
Have a great time, no matter what you do! :)
