Poll: SSR or OKW???

in 2003,2004 we stayed at OKW, 2 bedroom, last year we couldn't get OKW so we stayed at SSR, still a 2 bedroom, just a little less space.

This year we have booked OKW again from 11/4 - 11/14, but my bro wants SSR due to being able to walk to DTD.

Which would you want, 10 days at OKW nd taknig a bus to DTD or 8 days at SSR and walking to DTD.

I think its a tough one, I like walking to DTD from SSR, but having 2 more days is nice too.

One of the reasons we like OKW more is the room itself is bigger and my sister, her 2 yr old and my aunt use the pull out bed, the pull out at OKW is bigger than the SSR one.

The pool at okw isn't really up to par with some of the other resorts and if you don't have a car the walk to the bus stops can be long. If you have a car okw is great - you park right in front of your room. SSR is next on my list for 2007.

10 days at OKW vs 8 days at SSR? I would go for the 2 extra days in this case. Both resorts are nice but SSR isn't worth giving up 2 days in my opinion.

I have not stayed at OKW but LOVE it at SSR - however - I would go for two more days!

OKW all the way!! I have been staying there for a pretty long time now and would recommend it to anyone!

Definitely OKW! Two more days and bigger suites. You can take the boat to DTD. (Although, I must admit the boat from OKW was a lot nicer when they didn't have to share with SSR). Now they use the "ferry" type boats. They used to use the luxury motorboats. Much nicer.

About that boat ride, what is the wait time in between boats? I forgot about the boat to be honest. How long of a ride is it from OKW to DTD?

The boat starts at about 11:15 am - I think. Can't quite remember that - and it leaves on the half hour. It's about a 15 minute ride. It use to be faster, but now it stops at SSR. IMHO it's not even worth taking the boat from SSR. It's much faster to walk.

We walked last year from Congress Park in SSR it was a 10 min walk which was really nice and the one reason why staying at SSR is worthwhile.

Yes - that's a great walk! Definitely one of the best things about SSR!

OKW by far. SSR still has a bit of a 'skeeter problem. :(

OOH I'd definitely take two more days! DTD is great, but it's not worth chopping off 2 days of extra trip time just to be able to walk there! (IMHO!)

I'm all about the longer the WDW trip, the better!

Go with OKW!
