I love Animal Kingdom Lodge !!

Ok, I have to tell you that I was unsure of this resort until we pulled up to it. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the whole animal theme, but I have to say it is an absolutley beautiful resort!!! The outside is great, the lobby is just breathtaking and the rooms are pretty great too. I can't wait to go back when we have more time to really explore and enjoy the reort. Boma was a great breakfast. DD got to see giraffes right after breakfast and she thought it was so cool. I think this is passsing WL in my book.

awesome! My family and i ate at the AKL restaurant. The sit down one. Many years ago. The resort looks really fun! I wanna stay there now!

ps. i just remembered the name! haha. It was Jiko. the sit down place with the really stylish surroundings. It was very nice and our waitress was from South Africa. Pretty cool. The lighting is fascinating and actually changes. It goes from Dawn, to Day, to Dusk, to night. it's really neat. I'd recommend it.

We love the AKL also!!! Haven't stayed there in awhile, but I think we are going to stay there in the fall during the Food and Wine festival!!! Joe

It really is an amazing resort.
Now that we've stayed at so many, we always think of going back there again soon.

oh wow, those look so good. After a chicken stir-fry sub sandwhich at D'angelo's those look appetizing.

Love AKL, the views are gorgeous especially at night under the "moonlight"!!!
After staying at the refurbished Poly, akl has now been surpassed, but the resort is awswome to me still!
Sitting by the indoor firepit in a rocking chair in my jammies will always be one of my fave memories there.
Oh yeah and zebra domes!! Pick some up at the mara, take em back to your room and watch the animals on the balcony!

Especially given that sandwich's 1450mg of sodium!

One can get Zebra Domes at the Mara, indeed.

There's even a song about it.

the AKL too...I think I want to stay there more than any other resort! (But I've said that about Boardwalk too.

) I will never forget my peaceful afternoon nap in the AKL lobby...that was the most relaxing 30 minutes I've ever had!

The boardwalk looks WAY too busy for my taste. The actual boardwalk looks fun, but wouldn't it make a lot of racket during the night while one is sleeping? AKL is also a dream lodge for me. it looks very exciting.
