Just modified our reservations this morning. Thought I'd share the good news.

Discounts at most Disney resorts. Ask for code AXA and get special discounts on various resorts for check-ins 4/27/03-7/3/03. Some of the rates that have been reported so far:

All Stars - $84 standard
Moderates - $104 standard
Wilderness Lodge - $149 standard, $164 woods view, $200 courtyard view
Animal Kingdom Lodge - $149 standard, $205 pool view, $225 savannah view, $390 concierge
Boardwalk/Beach Club/Yacht Club - $239 standard, $305 water view
Contemporary - $174 standard garden wing, $280 tower
Polynesian - $254 garden view, $340 lagoon view, $350 garden view concierge, $435 lagoon view concierge
Grand Floridian - $365 lagoon view
Other resorts, room types and views are available at varying prices!

DisneyTeacher - what I do is book the room now, then when the codes come out, call back and apply it. That way, I don't miss out on a room.

I have the rooms already....I just want a better price. We have 2 rooms at POR for July. I have stayed at CBR before and want a change this trip. I am afraid the codes will be gone for POR and I will have to decide between cheaper moderate and POR at rack rate. I really have my heart set on Magnolia Terrace. I will settle for the discount code but I really want the AP rate (more money to spend on stuff this way).

A CM once told me that the AP rates come out about 2 months in advance. I don't blame you though, I'd be nervous, too. I'm sure you'll find something though - I have faith in you!! :D :D

We have planned this trip for 5 years (since our DS was born!!) and are going to enjoy it no matter what happens. We have the money set back to pay the rack rate at POR but I would like to save a few bucks. I always feel better when I feel like I got a deal.

I just applied the code to our reservations also but was hoping for a deeper discount. Then I came straight here to see what you all were saying about it and read Mickey's note that there might be further discounts later this week. I have two questions.
One: When the lady at CRO applied the code, she said we have it but didn't give me a new confirmation number or anything. Will we get something in writing to confirm the new rate? How will we prove that the discount was applied if not? Question two: If as Mickey suggests, further discounts come out later this week, and are available, will we be able to apply those? Since I used this code already, will I be able to call back with another code later and ask that it be applied if the discount is deeper?

Angie, yes, you can call back and ask for the discount. It kind of surprises me that they didn't give you a new confirmation number, but that could be part of the new changes in their system. You can always call back CRO and verify your price any time.

I just called back to be sure that it went in and it was all fine. The girl said that they can modify your res. without giving you a new confirmation number. That is fine except it would be nice to see it in writing.

I don't blame you - I would like to see it too! Every time I changed a reservation, I would get a new confirmation number and confirmation in the mail. I know they are doing a massive overhaul of their databases, and that is one area where they can save a lot of money and time (creating and printing of new reservations)

I'm digressing again... talking about Disney is infinately more enticing than staring out at all this SNOW! ("Mom, you're using that four-letter word again...")

I applied new codes to my reservation last year, and every time I received a new confirmation in the mail. The number never did change. You should get something in in the mail in about 7 days.:)

DisneyTeacher, last year the AP discounts were released in late January for the end of April through the end of September. They have been a bit behind this year, so you can expect them sometime in the next couple of weeks. Just keep checking the front page, I will have any discounts posted as soon as I receive them. As an alternative, you can go to Mouseketrips and on the front page, there is a place to sign up for the WDW deals newsletter, which is basically an email that I send out with discounts the day they are released, so you would get an email with the discount and wouldn't have to worry about checking places all the time. Just confirm your email address when you sign up or you won't receive anything.

Angie, you can apply as many discounts to a reservation as you would like, just keep going until nothing better comes along. You will receive an updated confirmation, we always do.
