Re: Cypress Point Resort, anybody.....

I checked it out in Interval International. There are two:(1) Cypress Pointe Resort & Grand Villas, and(2) Cypress Pointe Resort at Lake Buena Vista. Not sure which one you mean. They look very nice. Here's what it says for the first one: One Mile from DisneyWorld. Relaxed Caribbean atmosphere. Turtle-shaped outdoor pool. Other amenities include a game room, exercise room and volleyball area, tennis courts. The pictures look very nice. The Lake Buena Vista: a tropical paradise, located just minutes from WDW. Spacious 2 and 3 bedroom suites vacation villas in lush surroundings. "volcano pool" Amenities include an exercise room, gift shop, convenience store/pizzeria, volleyball, tennis, playground and game room. The villas have king-sized beds, in-room spa baths, private screened balconies, fully equipped kitchens, large-screen tvs, VCR, DVDs, wireless internet and washer & dryer in 3 bedroom suites.

We've been members of Interval for 10 years and can honestly say we've never had a problem with any place we've stayed. The pic of the Lake Buena Vista resort looks beautiful. Hope this helps.

Re: Cypress Point Resort, anybody.....

Why I asked was because I was just looking at military sites and found one called, militaryresortrentals.com. I called after looking over the site and found that I could get a two bedroom suite for two weeks at Christmas for $104.50 a night pretty good rate huh? Well, then I went to another site (disboards) to check out if anyone has stayed there and there were a few and all were good reviews plus someone mentioned another site (hotelkingdom.com) and they had rates for it at $94.00 a night. I thought about it, but we are nice and comfy at SOG.

Re: Cypress Point Resort, anybody.....YES

I have stayed there three times in the last three years and for the money it is great. It is very close to Downtown Disney and if you learn a few "backways" around it is very easy and fast to get to the parks. It has an onsite grocery store that is pretty good and not bad in price. The two pools are nice and big. They have video rental etc... All and all it has always been very clean and like a said for the money you can't beat it.

We always get the three bedroom. It has a big screen tv and a nice kitchen. The rooms are starting to get a little dated-but nothing weird. We never paid more than 125.00 a night and for 1800sqft that is not bad. I believe it is a timeshare, but you would not know it-it has never been mentioned in any of our stays. Disneyworld resorts are better, but if you are wanting to save money or need space I would highly rec.

Request a top floor room. The rooms are quite, but the patio chairs of the upper level rooms rest right above the Master-so if your upper neighbors are nightowls the rubbing of the chairs on the concrete will drive you crazy. There is elevators right outside the hall of everyroom so upper is the best bet.
