November Visit?
We have visited the past 3 years and just can't seem to pass up on this year either.
It looks like early November is the time that would work this year. We have never gone this time of year.:nervous Any thoughts on crowds or weather? Should we be avoiding Halloween or Veteran's weekend? I assume that as always, any hotel discount codes will not be realized until a few months before. Is this true? Thanks in advance for your help.:D |

Welcome to DisneyCentral.
In 2002, between November 5 and 10th was completely sold out because of Super Soap Weekend and a couple of other small things. The dates or 2003 haven't been released yet, but try to avoid it unless you are going for that. Anytime between then and the week of Thanksgiving should be great. The weather is perfect, the lines are short and some of the Christmas decorations will start appearing. Also, you may catch some of the Food and Wine festival (should run through about November 17 or so). Alternatively, you could travel the fist two weeks of December. Small crowds, great weather and Christmas activities abound. Discounts for Novermber usually aren't released until August or September. I would suggest figuring out when you want to go, and where you want to stay, and get it booked now at full rate. Then, rebook it when any discounts are released.

Thanks Mickey!
Any thoughts on when they may announce the Super Soaps Weekend? I certainly do not want to visit then (although my wife may disagree). We actually are working around Nov 6 and 7th because our kids are off school those two days so I hope they pick another Super Soap time! Unfortunately, I work for a retailer so December is pretty much out of the question. |

Also In early November is the food and wine festival is in Epcot. Its awesome..Or at least I think so. Epcot is a family favorite and nothing beats sampling alittle bit of this and a little bit of that.
This year we are going from 10/31(boo) and 11/10. I have been there for Halloween in 2000 and didnt feel it was too packed. The Not so scary halloween party was great! The lines we minimal and we went on Halloween night! We saw every Character dressed up in their "costumes" and I rode Space Mountain 3 times without waitng in line. Even Buzz lightyears ride had a very little wait. The weather was fantastic! I didnt encounter the Soaps week though, Ughh.... I hope its later in the Month!

We went in 2001 for Thanksgiving. The park was crowded on Wednesday and Thursday adn then lightened up on Fri, Sat and Sun. We had a great time and we got to see the Christmas decorations and the Osbornes Spectacle of lights!

Thanks everyone!
Has anyone gone in both November and March. Our other option is to wait until next March and travel with Friends. We have always found it helpful to go with another family if not for any other reason than their kids occupy my kids somewhat. I just hate to wait that long:nooo: Any thoughts on November vs. March?? |

I have been in March and loved it so much I'm going back March 8-13. March is great, weather is warm but not hot and the crowds aren't bad. I have never been in November so I can't really tell you if it is better or not at that time of year. But personally for me March is PERFECT!! :)

We were there this past Nov. during Soap Opera week (we hadn't a clue that this was happening). The lines were longer than we expected for this time of year, especially around the weekend -- almost felt like summer crowds. Thinned out Tues - Thurs. Weather was great, very hot some days and almost cool others -- who can figure!!

Spent 11 days at Disney, this past Nov. Arrived on Thanksgiving Day. Yes, it gets a little hectic on the week-end, but worth it. The weather was quite chilly, only had one day of rain, and you just put that poncho on , and keep on going. Only got to sit by the pool for one day of those 11. We love going to DW in Nov., it's just hard to know what to pack. In my case this year, I think we wore shorts only once. So it was jeans for my DH, jeans and capri's for me, and jackets, and sweatshirts. Trust me when in DW whatever the weather is , you just keep on going , and going!!!!!!! Going back in May, and the weather always seems to be just beautiful. I'll keep my fingers crossed, and hope for the best.!!!!!!!!!!
