WDW Swan or Dolphin??

Hi, guys! I am trying to make my final arrangements for my December trip. I am staying at a DVC resort (Saratoga Springs right now) from 12/3-12/8, then I will stay at either Swan or Dolphin from 12/8-12/11. Now I have to decide which one!

So tell me about both resorts and why I should choose one over the other.

I'm all ears!!!!!!

(P.S. I am even happier since I just found out that EMH extends to Swan and Dolphin guests, too!!!

ddoll stays at one of them more than any other place if I am correct. And which ever one that is, she really, really has good things to say about. So, I am bumping this one up , she will see it for sure

Hey now, how come nobody ever stays at the Swordfish or the Mackerel anymore? Has it become ALLLLL about the Swan and the Dolphin? Of course the most graceful and celebrated sea creatures would get all the glory. Sheesh

I say Dolphin, but that's because I LIKE the giant fish on the top of it!

Anyone??? Ddoll? Help?

I booked Dolphin, but now I notice that the Swan has two Queen beds in their rooms, while the Dolphin has two Double beds in their rooms. I'm thinking I want a bigger bed!!!!!

OPINIONS???????????

I was told there's only like an inch, maybe inch and a half between the queen and double beds at the Swolphin. So don't sweat that.

There are pros and cons to each.

The Swan is smaller, so it's easier to get around. But the Dolphin is the larger one, so the majority of necessities are there: the spa, the big pool, the laundry and most of the restaurants.
Also, the lobby of the Swan is just pretty, the lobby of the Dolphin is spectacular. Karaoke is in the Swan! (my biggest selling point)

Just pick which things are more important to you. But the bed really isn't an issue.

Well since I happen to work at both, I can give you a little insight...

Ditto to everything ddoll said. Also, by the time you arrive in December, the full renovation of the lobby areas at both the Swan and Dolphin should be complete (they are scheduled to be complete in September--it's kind of chaotic right now). It's going to be quite spectacular. And the Dolphin lobby is apparently quite amazing during Christmas time with a giant Christmas tree in the middle of the lobby area.

I work mainly at the Dolphin, so be sure to say hi when you come visit!

The resorts are said to be more alike than differnt but I'm thinkin' it used to matter that Swan is Westin and Dolphin is Shereton.

Hey Kim, we're having a Mousefest karaoke meet at the Swan on Saturday December 9th from 9pm to closing. You'd better be there (I'm hosting it). The Allears ladies are gonna be there, so even if you don't meet the two Debs at the Mega Meet during the day, you should find them there at night whooping it up.

Besides, you'll get to meet a fellow DC-er: me!

And be sure to come up and find me if you do go. Last year Tim and Sharon (Timsha here on DC) came in, looked around, saw it was crowded and left without saying hello!!
