my trip is booked!!
Yayyyyy...my April 2007 trip has been booked today!!! We decided to stay at the Contemporary for 3 nights and the Beach Club for 7 nights. We decided to split our stay since our trip falls between 2 seasons. We need to check in/out anyways so we decided why not stay at a different resort and try one where we've never stayed - for the 1st 3 nights. I don't really know much about the CR though since this was a last minute decision. I don't think the hotel itself will thrill me too much , but I am soooo excited about the location!
If anyone has any comments about the CR I would love to hear them. We're in the (I think) garden standard room (or whatever the least expensive room is). Thanks for letting me share!!!

We have stayed at the CR a few times over the last few years. Location can't be beat. Being able to walk to the MK is pretty nice. In fact when we were there last October, my DH and DD were still sleeping, so I put 6 month old DS in the stroller and we just walked around the MK. That was one of my favorite memories of that trip, just walking around with no place or ride to rush to.
Getting back to the CR, atmosphere is great. It is really neat having the monorail go through your hotel! It has nice places to eat ( Chef Mickey's and the California Grill) The food court is pretty good. If anyone in your family is a video game fan.....the arcade there is great HUGE! There are a lot of water activities you can do at the CR. The pool and slide are good but not outstanding. Another thing is the electric water parade goes by your hotel every night. Some people complain that the hotel is too busy or noisy, but we did not feel that way. The only bad part of the garden wing is the walk to the main building. Have a good trip! |

Congrats! I would be thrilled with a split stay like that. I am sure you will love the convenience of staying in a resort on the monorail line.

Yeah for you on your upcoming trip!! We stayed at the CR in Dec. 05 and in April of this year. We stayed in the tower so we loved the fact that we just had to take the elevator down and jump on the monorail. So easy!! It is a little business like but we knew that before we checked in. That didn't bother us at all. As Karen said, the restaurants are great. The food court is just that, a food court. We really enjoyed our stay. I hope you guys have a great time at both locations.
