Re: Tell me what you think of the Yacht Club
I've stayed at both Yacht and Beach. They're both fine places to vacation. You'll find out about their Stormalong Bay theme pool, and dinning at Cape May Cafe with characters and Yachtsman's Steakhouse. It's walking distance to Epcot and the Boardwalk area, and if your hearty, walking distance to MGM. If you can, get a lagoon view room, the view is spectacular. Not much else to say.

Re: Tell me what you think of the Yacht Club
We haven't stayed at the Yacht club, but we have stayed in that area a few times (Beach Club, Boardwalk)
You really can't beat the location being so close to MGM and to Epcot. It's just a wonderful area to stay in.

Re: Tell me what you think of the Yacht Club
Likewise, we've stayed at the Beach Club and Boardwalk, but never the Yacht Club - but it's a beautiful resort. The location can't be beat and Stormalong Bay is the best pool (more like a mini-waterpark) at WDW. I'm sure you'll like it!
And welcome to Mouse Buzz!

I think you'll be very happy with your choice. The location is excellent. IF you have younguns' they will dig the pool.

Re: Tell me what you think of the Yacht Club
If you've stayed at the Beach, you've stayed at the Yacht. Both hotels are fully connected physically and share the Stormalong Bay pool. The differences are in the decorating schemes. I would not be surprised to find that they share room service kitchens. They have their own staffs and offices, but really, they are joined at the hip. Even the theme of both are almost the same. Yacht Club is supposed to represent New England and Beach Club is supposed to represent New Jersey, although I think Boardwalk carries that off better.

Re: Tell me what you think of the Yacht Club
We loved it and would stay there again in a heartbeat. We walked to Epcot for the park itself or to grab the monorail to Magic Kingdom which seemed quicker to us than to wait on the bus.

Re: Tell me what you think of the Yacht Club
LOVED IT! DH and I stayed there on our first WDW trip in 2000. We would absolutely stay there again. We loved riding the boats and rode them everywhere we could. Also, we liked being able to walk along the water and the view over to the Boardwalk. We were there in Feb, so didn't use the pool, although we did go to the hottub one night. You'll love it!
