I am going to WDW, of course
, in Dec. 13th, but now that the pkg is on sale I decided to rebook the reservation to take advantage of the sale plus I have this friend of mine that wants to go with me and she's never ever stayed at WDW... she hasnt been there in YEARS!...Here's my question.. Where is it better to stay at, Coronado Springs, POFQ, or POR?? Its going to be 2 adults and 3 children hence the staying at a moderate resort..

Re: Need major opinions please...
Port Orleans Riverside, no question. They are really the only resort that is set up for 5 people in one room. (Is that what you're planning?)
If you have an Alligator Bayou room at POR, you've already got the built-in trundle bed, no need to pay extra for a rollaway or force someone to sleep on the floor. ![]()

Re: Need major opinions please...
You know, I think the mansion rooms at Riverside were quite nice, and the rooms at FQ were very charming, I don't know if I would use the word fancy.

Re: Need major opinions please...
I think Riverside is the only moderate that will sleep 5. They have the trundle beds there. You have to request this type of room on your ressie, though.
As to which is fancier, I have absolutely no clue. I think they are both on par with each other, since they are sister resorts with the same pricing structure. But maybe someone else here who has been to each resort can answer!

Re: Need major opinions please...
Well, that's a good question! We have stayed at all three, and my children liked CSR the best, no doubt because of the great pool. I think your location at CSR can be a huge factor, since it is so large. Personally, I like CSR and POR better than POFQ. Come to think of it, the beignets at POFQ were so yummy...Obviously, I will be no help because we enjoyed each of these resorts. My kids vote for CSR, if that matters!

Re: Need major opinions please...
I think the "fanciest" rooms are tied, Magnolia Bend at Riverside with the rooms at French Quarter. They're about equally elegant in my opinion. Obviously, Alligator Bayou is kind of on a different level altogether.
Here are some pics for your own personal comparison:http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/dxl13.jpg -Riverside/Alligator Bayou http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/por20.jpg -Riverside/Magnolia Bend http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/fq6.jpg -French Quarter If I had my choice, I would pick Port Orleans French Quarter...it just appeals to me, no particular reason why. But with 5 people I would definitely go for Riverside. ![]()

Re: Need major opinions please...
The FQ rooms are much closer together its more of a typical hotel feel. (at least to me) At riverside, the buildings are VERY VERY spaced out and it is a more relaxed feel. My personal opinion would be riverside because i've had two wonderful stays there. PLUS, I will be working in the food court there to provide you service with a smile :)

Re: Need major opinions please...
Maybe it's just for my dates (earlier in December than yours), but Coronado Springs is the only resort that has discounted rooms available. So check out what's available before getting set on a certain place!

Re: Need major opinions please...
really do some research because coronado is typically a little more expensive than the others, so even with the discount it may even out. I just made this mistake when booking a trip for my mom, but again it could have just been my dates. Good luck!
